Nothing is known about this accident.
According to newspaper "The Glasgow Herald" (Glasgow, Scotland, UK), issue of Wednesday, 28 May 1930, reporting the fatal accident of Eddie Reynolds, which happened on 27 May 1930, during the British Speedway Northern League match "Glasgow White City vs. Warrington" this was the first fatality at the Glasgow White City Speedway since its inception in 1928 (sic).
It is possible that Eric Langton made confusion between dates, or that the accident occurred on 06 May of 1929, BUT on another track.
At the time, the Celtic Park Speedway was also active in Glasgow but ONLY in 1928 (the last event was organized in July of 1928, no news of any fatality).
A British Speedway Northern League match "Glasgow White City vs. Manchester's Belle Vue" (JUST Eric Langton's team!!!) was held at the Glasgow White City Speedway on 06 May of 1930 (ONE YEAR LATER) but the Glasgow Herald newspaper did not report any accident.
Very controversial. What did really happen?
