I met Dennis Leech 18 years ago at his Exeter home and he told me about the great parties after the F5000 races- does anyone recall them or maybe they were just for the teams?
Another team member who was there recalls bread roll fights across the whole dining room were just one of the saner things! They even issued ties, bit like a TNF badge to say you were a member of such an event.

I remember a rental car burn-out contest at the Holiday Inn after a Mid-Ohio F-5000 (72-3...). Fire Dept called because, with all the smoke someone thought the motel was on fire (Looking back on it....a reasonable deduction.) Remember Tony AtoZ (Carling Black Label days) giving a strong 3rd place performance, judged by crowd reaction.

My father attended some of those parties and recounted them as Dennis remembered, very lively! Believe the bread roll fights were started by the late Peter Gethin (RIP). Altho' I was at a lot (most) of the F5000 races with him and Keith Holland I was not allowed to attend as I was way too young! But I still have the tie!!!
