From this fantastic site it lists Tutton as running a Jaguar C type XKC039 in a variety of events from feb 1951 through to feb 1957 all the listings prior to december 1953 cannot be the C type as this was brought to Australia from the UK in jan 1954 for the Mt Druitt 24 hour race and then it was sold to Tutton in NZ his first race will be the 20 feb 1954. Tutton did have an XK120 660112 which he got new so all the pre 54 entries are presumably this car.
What I am keen to get is a list of entries at Ohakea 3 march 1951 including the race entry number for the jaguars that were entered.

Just noticed he had a different number in the main race - The Ohakea Trophy Race for Sports & Racing Cars Handicap event, 35 laps, 70 miles.

thanks milan, that ties everything together the race no 38 on the pic looks like it has been very roughly drawn on but with other info I have I am now positive that the pic we have is Tutton in XK120 660112 at this Ohakea 1951 meeting.

shots...Les Moore crash in the Alfa (1951)..Ron Roycrofts car being crank started on the side of the track,
while the race cars were passing..Ray Archibald presentation,,Frank Shuter presentation,,George Smith
presentation..Racing coverage of Sprague.,Blackburn,Brown,Green,Tutton,Hoare,Tucker,Zambuka,Wild,
Ransley,Owen,Shand,Lupp,Darrell,Drewery,Freeman,Kennard..ete...etc...

I went to an Ohakea race meeting,probably the final one..Can anyone tell me who was the driver of the
saloon..(Chev. or Ford v8 sedan ) that ran into a 44 gallon drum and continued on with the drum stuck
under the front of his race car.? Red Dawson perhaps..?
