Since photography is prohibited (or so I thought) they may not be thrilled with your posting pictures on the web.

Everything was going fine until I mentioned your name.... The answer was "Who?"
Great time. Museum is almost hidden. Only sign anywhere was at the end of the driveway and it said "Private"!
No windows in the building save for the front door.
About half way through the tour a lady asked if we could take pictures. The docient said if he didn't see it he couldn't stop it....
I'll post one picture:
Dan Gurneys "Mag/Ti" eagle. It was the car built primarily of magnesium and titanium. What a looker!
All the cars were displayed in this fashion. We were allowed to walk around them and peer into the inards, so to speak.
Thanks, Doug, for giving me the courage to pursue this once in a lifetime visit.
They had given me the polite brush off until I mentioned your name.
About three hours later I got a call from the Museum and was asked if I could be at the Museum the following Monday morning about 10:00AM...
Hell, I would have been there at 7:00 if they would have let me!

It's an exceptional place. Were you able to go through the shop area and library as well?
Didn't get to the library as there were people in there doing research.
Got to the shop though....
Saw a Ford Gt 40 that is being instrumented for testing by Stanford University for research, and a F1 Vanwall, driven by Mossie, being given a total freshening.
Did not remember they had inboard rear discs...
Saw a Bently all apart, geez, they WERE built like lories!

SecondedDCN...Perhaps you could convince Mr. Miles Collier to commission you to do a book about the collection.....something in depth on each car.
...after the Phil Hill book is finished, of course!
