Has anybody tried booking tickets on the AC de Monaco website? I get a message saying "Please Wait" which, apparently, you have to do indefinitely.
Had the same problem 2 years ago, eventually emailed Autoclub Monaco who sorted it out, can't give you the link Roger as I changed computer and most of my address book declined to go from Livemail to Googlemail

That's the page I used. It does change after a few seconds to one announcing new prices for the Grand Prix, in three languages. The only link I can find on this second page is the red button at the bottom of the page. Clicking on that takes me back to "please wait". I'm still waiting..It's working on my computer Roger - the "Please Wait" delay is only about 5 seconds.

I'm using Safari on a Mac. Probably got something to do with it but shouldn't.
I'm on the same. I've tried it and it seems to work although a bit slowly. I got the OK button at the bottom which took about 20 seconds to allow me to click the link.

I've got a decision to make soon. I don't seem to be able to get to Nice from Malta without paying several arms and legs. I'm very close to deciding to fly back to the U.K. then meet the lads at St. Pancras for the train down, then the whole thing in reverse on the way back.
Daft, I call it!
But probably much more fun

You can fly to Marseille direct from Malta and take the train to Monaco.
Less fun maybe, but it will take less time and the cost will be lower.

The same happens for me. I have used Safari and Firefox, without success. I have a "hard copy" of the order form, which I guess I will mail off. Just wondering which "virages" to get tickets for. In 2008, Marion and I (and Barry and Roger) were at the Casino on Saturday and Marion and I at "K, Quai Albert 1er, Route Piscine" on Sunday. This time, I'm debating either Ste-Devote or A. Noghes on Saturday, and then maybe the Casino on Sunday. There will be practice on Friday too. Will we be able to go in any of the stands that day? Where are the rest of you thinking of watching? Will there be a TNF gathering?
Barry, just get started on a raft. (Who's that bearded man on the horizon?)

Vince: Anthony Noghes and St Devote is highly recommended!Noghes in the front row is about 2 metres from the Armco-impressive!!

No TNF get-together has been planned thus far but I'm sure something will happen at some time.

I just looked at the site, suspecting it was some unnecessarily heavy piece of Flash and it's actually written using a Microsoft technology called Silverlight. Microsoft released it four or five years ago in an attempt to ape Flash. Unfortunately it had all Flash's disadvantages (big and slow) and none of its advantages (everyone used it; every browser could run it). It works on some combinations of browser and operating system and not on others.
Now that Flash is on its deathbed - mortally wounded by HTML5 and jQuery - it's hard to see why Microsoft keeps going with Silverlight. The Monaco guys were not well advised.

I won't attend Monaco this year as it's the time of the year when my little business is getting busy for the tourist season. Our plan is Casino on Saturday and after Tabac on Sunday, Vince.

They have accepted 49 F3 cars and 40 1973-78 F1 cars.........the F3 grid will finish by the swimming pool!!
Cannot believe the track is FIA approved for that many starters ??

Also that the ex-Moss 1961 GP-winning Lotus 18 is also entered, and Simon Hadfield with a March 721G.

Are you going to put some better tyres on it this year

I think they allow 45 for qualifying and 40 for the race. Don't ask me what happens if all 49 turn up for qualifying! The entry list is now published on the ACM website

I'll be driving down to Monaco in my 1980 Lotus Elite S2.2 to take in the Historic GP, possibly trying to recreate the photo of my car when it was owned by Team Essex Lotus that year and parked in the harbourside paddock. Possibly bump into some TNF members in the grandstands at Casino Square (Sat) or Anthony Noghes (Sun). Or at the bar at the Columbus perhaps.
Anthony Noghes both days
