Does anyone know any regulation against the use fan wheels? Of limited use in open wheel racing yes, but in sports cars wouldn't they be useful for providing brake cooling and down force?

Some appropriate cuts and twists could convert a pizza inta a "pizzafan" wheel cover. Waddaya rekon pizzalover?

Will have to develop some super sticky, but light weight cheese. Sounds like a job for Mclaren's advanced foods dept.

Ask Macca then, I am ready to help develop it.
They will have to set up a test cell though and if there is to be food flying around.
I will only do it if Jensons girlfriend is up for it.

Porsche did it years ago with centrifugal ducts in their wheels.

They were quite popular during the early 80s on Tourers, sports cars etc. I never saw them on open wheelers.

also, one bmw m5 came with stock plastic wheel covers that were actually designed to pull air out of the wheel..

Clearly our not watching F1 the resent years. Lots of fan action going on. FIA as usuall even made rules to prevent efficient brake cooling.

F1 is not real serious about brakes, they go round corners really quick! Tourers and Sports cars have to slow down so need to pull some heat out of the brakes. the sports cars were interesting until they started using truck engines.with 21-1 just roll out of the throttle stops them now. And they were faster for a while on open circuits than F1 too.
