Hi,

I was watching the 1975 British GP highlights on ESPN Classic on Wednesday night - very interesting stuff with a dramatic red-flag finish in a multi-car shunt at Club Corner.

During the carnage, there was a brief shot of what looked to be someone pretty seriously injured - it was a fleeting glimpse of what looked like someone either trapped under a barrier or on a stretcher but not long enough to tell if it was a driver, steward or spectator (health and safety rules seemed pretty lax).

Jackie Stewart made a quick comment about 'and there were see how serious it is' in commentary but there was no further mention.

Does anyone know who it was and if so were they badly hurt? Wikipedia is not my friend on this one.

Thanks.

Go to You Tube and punch in 1975 British GP and there is a clip. No one appears seriously injured but rather just trapped in the catch fencing. I may be wrong. A Marshal did break some bones when he was hit by one of the sliding cars; sorry I missed that first time around.

Sounds like it was close to being a lot worse. Thanks very much for your help.
