And the brilliant way they fitted the logo across the front wings of the F5000 car - as you say a really neat livery, and on one of the relatively few Lola T330s that are still missing......Love the Guy Edwards Lola picture - I always liked the pale blue Barclays International livery

I was a young 15 year old 'gofer' on that T330 the following year when Nick Wattiez had it, with ace mechanic Malcolm Malone ( ex-Lola / Surtees ). Pity the car was far too much for Nick to handle..and to finance. But he did jump straight into single seaters ( F5000!) from a 1275 special saloon Mini..And the brilliant way they fitted the logo across the front wings of the F5000 car - as you say a really neat livery, and on one of the relatively few Lola T330s that are still missing......

No need to apologise Simon, if I come across any of course I'll get them up on here. Will keep my eyes open.Andrew, my apologies for seeming so greedy but there are so few photographs of naked cars around - particularly of the lesser formula - and as we know a picture is worth a thousand words (and memories)!

As Snetterton regular i love all those cars that i saw in period , i can see again.
The Leda shows how brutal some of those early F5000 ' s looked.
The Collecting area shot i can spot The Hipperson Bros Copyrun Mini, Pink Escort Norman Abbott.?, Mick Hill Capri on pole possibly, the Mini with its back to us Norman Blowers it has a Mann Egerton Sticker on the back.

I believe Ed McDonough raced the FF Mirage too.

There was a mirage that was raced by, from memory, an Indian hockey player. This car was with a chap I know in Worthing until recently and I think he sold it last year.

Yes, white sports car # 120 in post 4 is definitely a Coldwell GT.

It was amazing to see the car climb up the wall and then come back down , it was though it was on a lift platform .
Believe it or not it was very bent and yet he drove it away after the race, the wheels were no longer round , and various bits of steering were bent . but it drove .

I've got to ask the question:
Did anyone ever make it into the Barn, reverse out and carry on in the race?
I believe the Barn doors were left open so that cars could go through it if in trouble, although there were stories at that the time that the farm equipment wasn't always removed beforehand
