I also popped these onto the F5000 thread..but as they are Snetterton, belong here too.
Some fabulous Snetterton F5000 memories from photographer Mike Dixon. Note his copyright. You can send me an e-mail to info@andrewkitson.com if anyone is interested in purchasing copies of his work. I can put you in touch. Ted Walker at Ferret owns a lot of Mike’s work too and may also have pictures from these meetings.

Now we move to August 30th 1971. A race in two heats won by Graham McRae after Gardner and Redman took each other off.

Then it happened..Gardner & Redman tripped each other up at the end of the Home Straight. Both unhurt.

Superb stuff. I loved the old Russell but when I raced around Snetterton that banking wasn't there.

Gardner's Lola looks a mess. It looks as though he was lucky not to inherit the Lola "limp"

Absolutely wonderful - thanks Andy, thanks Mike. You have made my weekend. I have been away a lot recently and plan to have a rest. This will help enormously!

A quick question if I may: the Redman / Gardner crash - who took the pictures that appeared in Autosport at the time? Was that you, Mike?

And, finally, photographic evidence - other than those shots previously seen from Hockenheim - that the Hawtin Cooper did run with front wings and a slimmer nosecone before its final race.

Cheers Mark..yes Mike was Snetterton's 'Autosport' snapper for many years they were his pictures..now Richard Styles does it. I will see both at Snett tomorrow. Mike is MSA steward, Richard shooting for Autosport.

Another Cadwell Park gem from Mike. F3 in 1970..past the old farmhouse garden fence and turning right by the barn doors...just magic. Roll on two weeks...Historic F3 cars at HSCC Cadwell, but unfortunately without these long gone rural features.

Bleedin' magic stuff.

Mirage in NZ last seen in Gulf colours.

The nose on the McRae McLaren looks very GM1ish - anyone able to confirm?

Is there no end to this fabulous stuff Andy?

That's my question as well.

Absolutely incredible, the grandest of days' and beautifully captured. I sense I'm not alone in wishing nothing had changed since.

All of us who did see it... we're lucky, Ladies and Gents. :)

Mike Dixon keeps the flow coming...thanks Mike! A selection of his photographs from the two F3 meetings at Cadwell in 1970. One was in July, the day after the British GP, the other the September International.

The guy in overalls looks a lot like J-P Jaussaud.
