Photos from the net show livery of the Schnitzer cars back then do have the thin red dotted lines:

But there are no such lines on the one that owns by BMW mobile tradition now:

So did Schnitzer run the cars in both version, or the guys at mobile tradition just too lazy to reproduce that?

I see no thin red dotted lines or 'rot gestrichelten Linien' should you be a native German speaker

Here are some more 635 csi pix that might help you find your answer.

BTW it is usually polite to mention that you have permission to use photo's that are not your copyright, especially since in this case the photographer is a TNF reader.

My bad...I have removed the photo and the link, hope it didn't cause much inconvenience to the photographer.

I don't think this is an explanation...

Do you have any photo/link where the red dots can be seen?

If you do have the 1/24 Fujimi BMW Schnitzer 635csi 85 Spa 24hr kit from last re-release, the box shows the actual race car photo and you can see the red dotted line clearly. You can also check out the photo on hlj.com (the area close to the front right is more clear):

If it is inappropriate to show the link, let me know and I will remove it.

There is no problem if you only show the link, winkelhock

Hi Winkelhock.

I couldn't find anything for 1985 but my photos from Donington 1986 clearly show the red lines you talk about, which from very vague memories were laid over or under the "x-ray" in the style of graph paper.

Go to the last five photos on the link below to see what I mean.
