On a recent trip to Brooklands I noticed the Clive Lones Morgan description included a line that reads :-

"It (the Morgan) was also the 'C' Car in all Light Car Club Races from 1931 to 1935."

Can any one enlighten me to what a 'C' Car might be ?

Thanking you in anticipation of your responses.

The races mentioned were Relay Races, each team having a number, and each car a letter suffix. The most powerful car was usually the "A" car.
Clive Lones Morgan used a 730cc engine whereas the other team cars used 1100cc, hence Lones's was the "C" car. I have the full details of how the races were run if you wish, or you could buy or borrow a second hand copy of "Morgan Sweeps the Board" which I co-authoured with Dennis Rushton way back in the 1970s.
Hope this helps
