Yes, and something that would almost certainly have been more interesting and exciting than the race turned out to be.

Apologies for the complete absence of any snaps during the past 96 hours. I have taken some, but still haven't finished sifting through - a by-product of being snowed under with various stuff.

Photos will follow at some stage during the day - and Canada should be easier because I'll be writing about one race, rather than five...

The security people didn't seem very happy when I photographed this. No sticks or mirrors allowed in, then, but it doesn't mention anything about guns.

Sorry for being late but could somebody please explain the danger of a nail clipper since you're also not allowed to take one aboard an airplane?

Same banner was displayed on the start line, after the race at Monza 2008, which of course was the 30th Anniversary of Ronnie's tragic accident

Whereabouts was it situated, Simon?

On the harbour side of the swimming pool chicane, Saturday morning. It might have been there in previous years, but this was the first time I'd spotted it.

Never mind that, Wayne, what's likely to be running at Mallory on Wednesday? I was supposed to be heading to Le Mans, but have had to alter my plans. The Cholomondeley Pageant it will be (with the possibility of Mallory as an hors d'oeuvre)...

But there can only be 16 winners and yet there is 22 drivers. Some are going to miss out!!
It is probably Massas turn next as he needs soem encouragment.
So who does miss out on a win? Or are wins reserved for the A teams, and some of those are only just A these days. The rest will have to be content with a podium!

There are 20 races and 24 drivers, so four of them will have to miss out. I predict that Kobayashi will win in Valencia.

More probable is that it's Charles Pic who makes a low speed impact into the podium, and it then falls onto Karthikeyan (but both claim it wasn't their fault).

I hereby stake my claim to be the person to actually carry out the inside leg measurement!  I've got to know a few of these F1 drivers over the years and I'm sure most of them will run away when they see me appearing with a big stick. ;)
