Unless you mean David Coulthard, I'm with you on that.

DC was in those pics?

It reminds me of Rivers Fletcher's tale of the Bentley crowd and a blonde girl always known to her "close" friends as "Ginger", or am I being a little indelicate?
Roger Lund

I will delete this if considered in poor taste.

Nothing wrong with a ginger nut.

My nephew went with some friends on a stag weekend. He has no great feeling for motor sport but enjoyed the experience. However, he said the food on offer was terrible.

Might the mechanic's comment be, "I sure like to crash test those bumpers!"

Although much derided before the race, It actually put up a good showing (sort of) and seemed very popular with much of the crowd. Anything to detract from the silent Audifest. Barring crashes, the others really have to step up their game to stop the ineviatable Audi victory year after year. Having said tha, it was a great weekend once again though.

Apologies (again) for the absence of weekend input - present work commitments at European races preclude much time for messing about with cameras. Didn't even get any grid shots on this occasion. Here, though, area few photographic observations...

These units are supposed to be under constant manual operation and I'd never previously seen one left in this manner. But then this is Valencia, where trackside security is on a par with Mexico City circa 1970. There are also lots of real, orange-clad people waving flags. In other news, meanwhile...

Why, in a one make series, do they have to make the cars so ugly?

From Autosport today. "Jenson Button is optimistic that he will be able to come through the field from 17th on the grid in Sunday's British Grand Prix."

"Come on Tim ! ! !"

Now that's what I call nostalgia.

Reminds me of the 79's debut at the 78 International Trophy. So wet that Andretti went off at Abbey on the 2nd lap and piled into the 1st lap spinners!

Though I have never aspired to marshaling at anything so grand as a race meeting let alone a grand prix I love marshaling at sprints at Castle Combe.
