Next weekend (March 31st-April 1st) is the fourth edition of Legend of Riverside, an event celebrating racing and past racers at the famous Californian raceway. Bobby Unser is the guest of honor, and I hope to see some of you gentlemen, there. It is set at the Riverside International Automotive Museum.
The website for the event is: http://legendsofriverside.com/

The first three editions were no short of fabulous time spent with great people. Let's hope this will continue! :)

No, but I see my car!
I had a great time with Bobby Unser on Friday PM, we spent a good hour together recalling past events and cars...
Even my wife had a good time and she does not particularly cares for cars... of any kind! :)

Hila Sweet and Evonne Barsakis and Douglas Magnon
Doug Magnon and his dad Ray Magnon are the driving force behind the Legends of Riverside. Hila Sweet and Evonne Barsakis have helped with the event for many years.

Hila Sweet's maiden name was Hila Paulson, and in 1956 she was the first women licensed by NASCAR to compete against men on the west coast. She did this in December of 56 at Gardena Stadium.

Rick was certainly enjoying himself on that day. His facebook page indicates he is doing some current historics racing, as well as many happy reflections on his contemporary racing as reflected in the photos posted by his friends.

As to the previous ( Tony Settember and Alan Johnson ) photo, I'm going to say "Parnelli Jones and Allen Grant".

Mary McGee raced Porsche 550's in her youth, today at 75 she is still Vintage racing motorcycles.
Dusty Brandel is the go to person for all the ex Peterson employees and also all the motor racing photographers and writers.

Frank S : You are right on the identity of the signers above at the autograph table, I have corrected it.

Is there any relationship between Bill Losee and Californian-born Fred Losee, who raced in the NE in the 1950s?
