Turns 11,12 and 14 were chosen because they are the only ones where downforce plays a significant role in Melbourne
The comparison is made using Hamilton's pole position lap, Schumacher's Q2 lap and Webber's Q3 lap(you can see he's not using Kers because of problem) and Bruno Senna's Q2 lap
Approach to T11
Transition from T11 to T12
Approach to T14
On Turn 11, Lewis and Bruno are significantly later on braking than Schumi and Webber and still carries a bit(some couple of kmhs) more than both through the corner. Mclaren and Red Bull are also earlier on throttle for the exit of T12. Williams was good on T11 but one can guess it was by sacrificing T12 as Bruno loses a lot to all of the others in there.
Eventhough Mercedes speed seems not very far from RBR and MClaren on apex of T11-12, the entry and exit speeds are sacrificed and Schumi loses quite a bit there.
For T14, a bit slower corner, Mercedes is on par with the other 2. Actually Mclaren/Red Bull/Mercedes are all fairly matched there with the exception of Red Bull's better exit out of T14, over the other 2. Bruno again have a fast enter but still very far behind on mid and exit of T14. The Williams top speed lacks compared to the other 3 and still they are behind on corners as well which shows how they lack in aero(downforce and drag).
Putting this together with the other comparison thread and taking note that Grosjean was the fastest in S3(the sector where this corners are from), I rate the teams, downforce-wise, as follows:
