I hope nobody minds me posting this here. It seems fitting here in that Thomas painted the 100th Anniversary Indy 500 print — which I consider one of the finest motor racing paintings of recent note:

He is touted to be the most-collected American painter in history, gifted with a wonderful style luminant with glowing color, nostalgia, and Hope. I recently watched the film of his life, called "Thomas Kinkade's Christmas Cottage" which I found to be a touching and wonderful movie about art, artists, and the mentors many of us rely on in our art careers.
He will be sorely missed far and wide.
RIP to Thomas, his family, and everyone inspired by his work.
