I think the winner will come from one of the top 4 drivers after the first lap. Who these first four are will be decided on how good a start everyone gets. But I have a feeling that the winner will not be one of the usual suspects.

I'd be glad of no rain. This race doesn't need a safety car, and it would be good to see a real pecking order even if the race gets dull towards the end and I'm not sure that it will.

Is that too cold to heat the tires? How was the temps drop in Q3?

I think Pirelli making wacky tires is the reason for current season mixups.

Air temp is similar to Q3 yesterday but the problem yesterday was only a 'single flying lap' issue.
After 2-3 laps it would not be an issue at all.

Michael Schumacher confirming to Sky's Pinkham that these colder temperatures are what Mercedes need. If they are to win, mother nature has given them their best chance.

Exhausts gifts for McLaren/Sauber and f-duct for Merc from FIA played equally important part. As did three years of finding rules that would hurt Red Bull.

So higher temps than Saturday but will go down as the race progresses, will be tricky for the Mercedes.Hope to see some mega defending action at the front..

Red Bull had solid race pace so watch out for Vettel making his way back up the field. Sauber and Ferrari are also excellent in the race, Kamui's best chance yet.

Hope it doesn't rain.

Its weird how couple of degrees drop in temperatures make such a difference in performance.

#F1 Jean-Eric Vergne starts from the pitlane because the team has changed the spec of his car overnight

Vergne has different floor, barge boards, T-tray, side pod wing and inlet etc... And that led to different ballast as well

Sounds like they're using the race as an extended test.

One of the McLaren drivers to win this race, and Vettel to finish higher than he started.

Some prediction! :-)

Coulthard's grid walk doesn't go look well so far. But Jordan beats this easily with Whiting.

Waking up! Some of us haven't gone to sleep, I apologise in advance for any unintelligible comments. :smoking:

hahaha i went to a party last night, came home drunk at 4am and had to work at 10am to 4pm...had dinner, went out with friends and had more drinks, already finished a 2litre of pepsi and i have another one handy if i start getting drowsy but i have a feeling that i might not need it if the race we have on our hands is as exciting as i hope it would be. :)

Vettel's car isn't the same as Webber's. I don't think the old spec is nearly as good as the current development spec in terms of pace.

I know some people really need their sleep, but speaking only for myself I can never sleep before an F1 race. In Canada they always start around 8am (but some, like today, at 2-3am) and it's never been worth going to sleep and risking snoozing over your alarm clock. As tempting as even a 2-hour nap always seems to be, if you spend two weeks aching over every second until an F1 weekend starts, why would you risk it over a few hours sleep? Just crack open a bottle of something and staying up is a good strategy and it hasn't failed me yet.

Happened to me once after a heavy night out...luckily it was Korea 2010 so still caught the restart!

Red Bull's flexi-wing 'gifts, Lotus\Renault's FEE, 107% rule exemptions handed to Hispania....it's all a sham and a farce, they should just ban all teams from competing and let you decide who wins.

I'm fearful of Koba. I just want a clean race for the Mercs so that we can see the race pace.

Raikkonen, Webber or Vettel (if his exhaust config turns out to have good race pace) to win.

I'm not fooling myself, I doubt the Merc can win this race. Kimi is my pick for the win, but I was a massive MS fan in my childhood, so seeing him in the place where he was his entire career is fantastic for me.

I just want to see their race pace, I doubt they can win it. Maybe a podium if things falls into place.
