Does anyone have a good shot of the front of this car. It appears that there was a "short nose" and a "long nose" version, and I would like to know if the difference was made up by a detatachable nose cone.

It seems like the front bodywork was changable.

Sometimes you should try a google picture search and go through some pages with results.
There is a photo on here that kind of shows what you ask for.

The small-aperture high penetration nose cone used for example at Reims '56 was tacked-on as an extension to the standard snub-nose panel. It could be just as speedily removed.
