It's of dubious veracity, but Brazilian press is reporting that Luiz Razia has been hired by Marussia to replace Timo Glock. While his wallet makes the story believable, I think the key word in the previous sentence might be "Brazilian".

Speaking of Razia, does Globo is a financial supporter of him? Every week he is on Auto Esporte, every week!

Globo I don't know but some money stoled from our country yes.

Probably some of his sponsorship is coming from companies that were benefited from "Mensalao" and this "Terra do Nunca" operation.

:well:

Van der Garde at Caterham, Razia at Marussia and Bianchi at Force India.

According to Joe Saward.

I must admit I find it a bit strange that teams in need of money, takes on rookies with money, instead of a driver like Senna.

maybe they have even more money?

but yes, I would easily take Senna over Razia or Van der Garde.

Senna's sponsors were rumoured to be reluctant to pay for a backmarker seat, and Force India may see Bianchi as a better option from sporting view based on his racing record.

Crazy we could have 6 rookies in the grid this year:

Bottas
Gutierrez
Bianchi
Razia
Van der Garde
Chilton

And none of them really stand out to me. Apart from Bottas I guess.

On second thoughts I guess Bianchi and Gutierrez could do something, they've both shined at points in their careers.

Joe Saward's post doesn't say that he is certain that the FI seat goes to Bianchi. I hope for Sutil (and Bianchi next year).

Two driver announcements today ... but still no Force India news

Van der Garde at Caterham is a done deal... Damn, I wanted Petrov or Senna there.

So unimpressed with Caterham's choice. He must have gathered much more money than others I guess, I can't see any other reason why they would sign him over Petrov or Senna.

They're all GP2 race winners except Bottas, who's a GP3 champion. We have a better class of paydrivers these days! :D

With 22 drivers we had more than a quarter of the F1 field with rookies. When was the last time with so much rookies?

Oh my, it will be very important for the top runners to qualify well to avoid all the T1 pile ups that will inevitably occur.

We finally have some rookies joining though, so be happy.

There have being a few, perhaps not that weak as 2013 looks, but we can go back to the Tuero, Takagi, Rosset, Diniz, Takano days.

If we go back to the 80´s with so many private teams, it gets more interesting,.

Perhaps, by your nickname, u have better memory and much more perspective than me, but i just can´t remember exactly such a weird grid like this one, with so many rookies in there, some of them actually quite mediocre in other categorys, and so many proven drivers left out.

Yea, that story doesn't really check out. That tweet should've been posted yesterday at 1pm or earlier, but other than a girl with a Senna helmet as her background, nobody notices?

This however seems to be the real deal:

Rossiter testing the VJM06 next week. Are we to read into that?

Also Razia is either very close to or has signed with Marussia, leaving only Force India open for bidding. They apparently won't announce anything until after Barcelona testing.

Reading this story on Autosport, I think it very likely Bianchi is going to get the second Force India seat. Especially as they were considering to run him next year, and think he's ready now, I'll be surprised if it's anyone else now.

Should have slammed his car into a bunch of people at the start of a few races. That's how you prove your worth in modern F1.
