Silverstone (can't remember which year) when Schumi broke his leg (we cheered in the crowd, accident didn't look that serious, until we saw him being stretchered away :o)

Yeah. 99. I remember on the telly Murray having a moan about that...

To show that sentiments don't always follow the preferences one might expect:

After the race Fittipaldi was mobbed by the cheering fans. Not only they were delighted he had won – they were pleased that he had beaten Stewart. The European Grand Prix was, in fact, Stewart’s one and only race in Britain during 1972 and with several items of pre-race publicity proclaiming the Scot’s dislike of Brands Hatch anyway it was understandable that some members of the normally placid spectators booed him as he came out to practice and cheered when he crashed.…

Autocourse 1972 on the European (or British ;) ) Grand Prix of that year.

The crowd at the Hungaroring was pretty vocal in support of the winning Hungarian driver in the WTCC last week. Much cheering, and flag waving.

Silverstone last year was pretty mental.

Yea, that was good fun. I got lucky it being my 1st live race.
