I was looking for the complete results of the following Rallyes of the year 1980

Scottish Rally (also entry list)
Circuit of Ireland (also entry list)
Manx Trophy International

Could someone help me, please ?

As BRG says there are a few of us. It's just that we are a quiet bunch. Unfortunately I did not compete in these events that year but if you are patient maybe RS2000 will spot this and give you some information.

Jorge is aware of the extent of most of my records so isn't likely to ask for anything I have, since it will already have been covered in another place.
These sort of entry lists are difficult for anyone who doesn't have the actual programme. Some will have been printed in full in Motoring News or (less likely) Autosport but only the RAC Rally is guaranteed to have been. Apart from RAC Rally editions, I no longer have any MNs from that period - or, more importantly to me, earlier. I am currently looking for the Scottish Rally entry lists for 65, 66 and 67. Annoying, as I know I once had the Regs for two of them...
Usually, as many will know, only the RAC normaly had full results in the "comics".
Another annoying thing is that the three events listed, as well as the RAC and the Gulf, never included car registrations in official entry lists. The Welsh and Mintex did, which is a great help to those researching old cars. I have been working for some time on such a list for the RAC and Gulf but it will never be complete, even with personal memory of reg numbers of many entries. However, like the "works" cars, which now seem to attract the most ludicrous interest in "originality" of what were multiple re-shells even in period, it rarely seemed important at the time...

I've looked up the events in Motoring News and Autosport. MN lists the top 25 or 30 entries, the top 10 finishers and (apart from the Circuit) the class winners. The results in Autosport are slightly more comprehensive, giving the top 10 finishers and the first three in each class.

For those days I have Motoring News report but as Tim said they usually had the top 10 finnishers and sometimes the class classifications although they never specified what was the overall position of those teams.
I will try once more the organizers to see if I have more luck this time !

I did have a quick Google (as I am sure jrally already has at length) just out of interest and found this video of the 1980 Scottish Rally. Now I am curious about who entered a Austin/Morris 1300 as car 89? By 1980, this was no longer a current car, and whilst an admirable run about - I learned to drive in one - it was certainly NOT suited to forest rallying!

Indeed it wasn't an ideal rally car but the chap did throw it around with enthusiasm. I took this photo in Clashindarroch forest on the 1980 Scottish.

Hi Jorge! Long time!

Airikkala 74 RAC I have as CS192 (Clarke and Simpson Escort - David Sutton run, prior to David Sutton Cars). This number appeared on several C&S cars, used by Barry Lee etc.

2003 is a bit recent for my interests.

I suspect Clark in 95 would have been 2ANR, the family reg. no. That has since been cancelled by the UK registration authorities following a legal dispute over a car sold by Clark's sons later on.

I found a picture of Roger Clark's 1995 Subaru. It was ADD 99.

Pentti's 2003 Mitsubishi Evo IV seems to have evaded the photographers completely.

In the 1979 season, George Hill's Martin Group Chevette HS was BBU 100T. I don't have any definite confirmation that he used that car on the RAC but as a privateer he probably didn't have another car available!

As a result of researching these questions, I was surprised to find myself on the entry list for the 1973 RAC. Since I never competed on any RAC, nor knowingly entered it, and don't remember ever knowing the driver for whom I was apparently co-driving, I am somewhat mystified! I never heard of any other rally competitor with the same name as mine either. :confused: I think someone took my name in vain!!
