The rear end view of Rainer Becker's Porsche 910, this reminds me of Richard Brostrom's Sports Cars of Switzerland
Possibly the Jacobson Elite cant read the number but it looks BRG to me

Is the open E-type boot/aerofoil legal? If so, how high can it go? From my slide-rule calc + 3" at the front and + 6" at the rear would help (with a boot full of polystyrene and flush-fit carpet to seal the aperture.
It all meant bugger all today really, as Adrian got carried away & ignored his pit signals, missing his driver changeover window and getting disqualified as a result....

Typical Silverstone - cold chill, (+9C), but at least it was dry.

This apes the Coombs 4 WPD in its final lighter gauge steel monocoque form of late 1962 which had the boot lid propped open allegedly by circa 3 inches (somewhat less than is visible on PS 1175) and the axle access plate removed (from the boot floor) in an attempt to cool the inboard rear brakes by venting the hot air they produced as noted in Philip Porter's original Jaguar E type book and elsewhere. It was used thus at the Brands Hatch Bank Holiday meeting and at the TT in 1962 both of which I attended.

Great pictures .... were you there on Sunday and, if so, did you cover the Historic Touring Car race ? any shots of car 62, Alfa GTA ? (I'm a slow racer so your camera shutter speed will not have been strained)
Best wishes,
Nick

Many thanks Alan. When I posted, the results had not been published and John was down to drive his Chevron B19 in the programme under #6, a' la Sandy Watson....

Has the looks of a 70's British GT car along the lines of Mercury/Ardua type, Fowler/Aylott etc
