On the grid right now a better driver there is none than Vettel. In clear air, in a fast car, he is metronomic in consistency and he is oft unbeatable in that situation.
But as a racer? He's actually pretty average - his race craft his poor, he struggles to defend without incident and his overtaking is oft described as disastrous to woeful. I think we'll see that brought out more this year, we had highlights of it in past years where he's been in difficult circumstances and Webber who can extract performance from a bad car will be more of a match for him.
I'm actually quite glad the RBR has given him a dog for three reasons:
A) It will humble him and allow him to learn how to race, to see if he has what it takes to be a complete driver.
B) It will humble his fans and stop all this silly talk of him already being an all time great (which is insulting to the real greats) and it will filter off the glory hunters, real fans stick with drivers through thick and thin.
C) It will make for a far more entertaining season!
How will it make the season interesting? Lewis ans JB are the new Vettel and Weber and the Macc is the new Rbr
It will be if you are a Macc fan tho
