Huge compliment by the guys making the F2012 videogame, the have a new feature in the game to rewind time if you do a mistake, one of the guys developing the game said in the trailer:

http://www.youtube.c...BbKtHSA#t=2m32s

I guess playing with Fernando in the game will give you an advantage

Nice comment... Although that feature has been around in the F1 2011 game. I've used it a couple of times because of the stupid marbles left by tyre degradation!

You can buy the game and test it by yourself, in real life he bring something more valuable, probably can't be converted into ones and zeros.

Autosprint the Italian publication has been given the name "Alonso effect." The success of Fernando Alonso and Ferrari in the first half of the season has been a major attraction for more cautious Italian fans who did not want to stay without your input. - GOOGLE translate

In simple words Ferrari/Alonso performance in last races + Monza one of the Alonso favorite track (dominant performance in 07', 10') + big upgrade in Spa and special package for Monza = Tifosi smells a victory

To me the "Alonso effect" is the whole first half of 2012 - remarkable by any historic measure. Now Fernando, make that five years, 2012 - 2016, then you did what Schumi did from 2000 - 2004.

I wonder, though, if that might be possible in this day and age. Nonetheless, on the basis of Fernando's driving I think it is possible.

Before thinking in the future and more titles, he needs to win this year, and there is a long way to go for that.

My only wish it's that he can start the next season with a strong car, I'm tired of watching him pulling results from his hat or playing catch up while other drivers have great cars from race 1. But I will not blame Ferrari, they are working very hard, we can't ask for more, let's hope this "Ferrari rebuild" it's over this year, and they have the structure to dominate from 2013 and so forth.

Maybe Alonso/Stella knew the top speeds of the Mclaren and Vettel wasnt enough for them to threaten his lead. And saving performance for later made sense after they exhausted their tyres trying to overtake.

It certainly looks that way.

Any history of cancer in the Alonso family because it looks like a mastectomy?

I found out today too, it seems that he have "that" at least from 2005, if it was some health problem, it's long gone and he is 100% fine, this could be a case of some problem since the day he born too.

Quite right, he's "always" looked like that. (at least from 2003)

Don't know the history behind it, but it certainly isn't anything anyone should be bothered about.

Move along, nothing to be seen here.

John Watson is one of those reluctant to tag Rosberg with the ‘legend’ title. “For me a legend is someone who wins multiple races and world championships,” he expounds, “someone like Niki Lauda, Jackie Stewart, Alain Prost or Fernando Alonso today; guys that know not just how to
compete in the car, but also how to go about achieving what they need to be successful, how to get a team revolving around them.

I think I saw that video a long time ago in Ferrari's youtube channel, but thanks ;)

Me too, I fear that this could be another 2010 (a lot of prise, no reward at the end), no matter how good he drove in the past 11 races, I don't think he is going to win if they don't improve the car, Fernando has done the "miracle" already and I'm 100% sure that RB, McLaren and maybe Lotus will be in full charge mode with minimal mistakes from Spa till the end of the season, even if Fernando drives like a god, it will be not enough because there is a lot of fastest cars out there. He has 40 points but the title is far from won.

These ratings are always overshadowed by a sub title of popular belief. People often dare not go in the direction opposite to the mob. The mob is a strong force, and in this case, the mob supports alonso coz of the popular notion of who has done the best. I'm waiting for someone to lift the veil and see what lies beneath

Umm . . . it would be the mag's editors that chose the cover photo, not FA. Likely without consulting him at all.

The accolades for Fernando continue! Piquet, Jr is OBVIOUSLY a bit sour about Grosjean's success --not to mention Kimi's --but I think it's also OBVIOUS that he has NO PROBLEM with Fernando (He's said that many times before, but critics have spoken of him falsely saying that). I mean how could he have such good feelings and praise for the cheatin' stinker who masterminded his deliberate crash and ruined his F1 career? But there you go...

From Planet F1.com:
However, Piquet Jr reckons Grosjean's success is thanks to the car and if former team-mate Fernando Alonso was driving the E20 Lotus would be leading the Championship.

"Had Alonso been there he would be winning the Championship with that car," Piquet Jr told TotalRace.

"Sure he (Grosjean) has improved a lot but there is no phenomenon. Nothing compared to Alonso.

"He is luck is that after F1 he got another season in GP2, found a sponsor and returned to F1 as a paying driver, right?

"Then things were, how do you say, right in his career. Timing was very good for him."

He added: "He's had a lot of luck, came at a time with a team-mate who is a little weak and a very good car."

I'm not a superstitious person in general and I totally believe in science, but some some strange reason I try not to do stuff that will jinx those I support. I guess being a fan means we're irrational. But anyways, I just want to say that F1 Racing has Alonso on the cover around this time of the year back in 2005 with the title 'The boy who would be king'. The article pretty much crowned him already, and he went on to win his first title. So fear not, fellow irrational fan! ;)

Jinxing is a funny business. It doesn't work unless you really meant and truly believed what you just said. Even then, someone else might be saying the opposite of what you're saying and cancels out your jinx.

Ok, now I have become totally irrational.

Button seems to be quite anti-Alonso at the moment. Its his 3rd or 4th comment trying to downplay his form this season.
