Clearing part of the loft out and came across this tucked away. It was a special by MCN on Barry Sheene before he won his first 500cc World Championship. Just thought you would like to see a few pics from the magazine. I've put them in some sort of time line plus there's a few 'who is this" as well.
A young Barry but who's bike is he on, what is the bike, where are they and when ?
Below: Czechoslovakia 1971 but what is Barry riding and who is behind him and what is he riding ?
Who rode this bike before Barry ?
1972 Silverstone.
1972 Scarborough.
Where is this ?

Nice shots. TSS Bultaco: Martin Carney and Frank Sheene on the left. Little bloke with long hair on the right : Ivy? I wonder if the bloke in the jacket is Grant Gibson? Location's a bit of a mystery. Ah, you want to know when too: I would say 66/67. There was a lag of a nearly two years before he decided he wanted to be a road racer. Actually, this would mean my Ivy theory is wrong since he was a short back and sides merchant around this time.
Czecho in 71: Bazza's on the Kriedler with Parlotti on a Derbi chasing.
Stuart Graham was the guy who previously rode the Suzuki and who, after being given it by the factory, sold it to Sheene

Well done everyone however I must confess that with question one the desciption for the photo as regards where and when only says 'mid sixties on the continent' There are others of interest in the magazine and I will try to put these up as well but most are black and white and have been overwritten. Once again well done.

Where is this? .... Mallory Park with Smart & Derek Chatterton.
Must have been rain on the way, Bazza'a got the dishwashing gloves on again.
I tried this when I first went racing, and from then on ALWAYS carried a set in my gearbag. Works a treat !

I would reimburse you the 80p and throw in 50 more for p+p for that magazine.
It's tempting but I have the poster and the free sticker that came with it so I think I will keep it a bit longer. It may even get up to two quid.

A champion is born.
One of many awards but what year, what trophy and for winning what ?
Barry had a go at most things. I have no answer to this but which speedway teams bib is he wearing ?
Where, when and who ?
Which year is this ?
And this and where ?
Sheene and Ago but which country and what circuit ?
I don't have an answer to this one but who is the rider congratulating Barry ?

1974 @ Scarbro with Crasher.
The rider congratulating him, Guy Bertin? Or Christian Estrosi?
Where when & who, Silverstone 1971, Sheene, Gould, Marsovszky, Saarinen, Smart & Cooper.
Its Christian Estrosi.
