As I understand it there are still some copies of this book still available. Robert (Bob) Shepherd provided a pen and ink drawing of a pre-war racing car - every month for some years (from about 1946 until the late 1950s - early 1960s), for the magazine Australian Motor Sport.
Around 1994 or so the original prints were placed with a gallery to be sold off. They were on sale for several hours until someone called the sale off and ensured the collection was kept together. During those few hours two were sold, one to me of a GP Renault 1906.
They were then sold as a book showing the entire collection, of about 200 illustrations. I would think that any specialist book shop would be able to locate a copy.
