Managed to have a chat with one of our forum members, Leif was going really well on his 350
Another forum member here, hard at work...
The RG is Sean Emmett's ex Gary Lingham bike, looked really nice.
The ex-Kenny Roberts RGV500 from '89 I believe, ridden again by Sean and apparently the quickest bike he's ever ridden!
I can believe it too, the speed at which he was circulating!
More pics later...

Stop laughing at the back!!
They are ex-works machines after all.
I was assured by one of the French Kawasaki Club members that this was the real deal, if not, it was certainly a good lookalike!
Perhaps Murray could comment?
More later...

Hi guys, a fantastic weekend at Spa, all day Saturday and Sunday the weather was good.
Managed to have a chat with one of our forum members, Leif was going really well on his 350

I know motorcyle internals aren't exactly what they used to be in historic racing, but a carbon exhaust on a TZ350?
#26
Posted 12 July 2012 - 19:34
Yes I know that the carbon exhaust is not correct (and yes some of the internals as well), and that brings back the discussion regarding the classic racing scene. Yes in the perfect world all bikes at a meeting like Bikers Classic should be the real thing, old bike with absolutely no modern parts fitted.
But it would properly be a very limited amount of bikes that would show up, making it not very interesting for people to come as see.
Also at most places there is noise regulations now a days, so the carbon exhaust is needed, I guess I could have changed the dampers with steel ones for Spa, but…
Cheers,

A real cacophony, as Russell would say.

The evergreen Jacques Cornu, he was circulating at a very respectable pace.
Lovely looking 125s and 50s...
Jim ready to go...
One of the all-time classic looking bikes, Luca Cadalora's 250 Honda, sex on wheels.
Just to add...no idea why it had yellow (500) number backgrounds, definitely a 250

Sorry, no info on the Mondial Renn, it was lined up alongside the MBA/Garellis of Jaap Groot so either his or perhaps one of the other Dutch riders. I'm not at home at the moment but I'll check the program entry list.Seems that '92 was the first year the classic colour scheme was 'liberated'

I can assure you that this one is the real deal. Usually it resides next to the air-cooled Sayle-H2R and a couple of other works triple racers.
