The 1997 McLaren MP4-12 car featured a rear-wheel braking system, which was banned early in 1998 by the FIA, who considered it a steering rather than a braking system. Drivers Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard were able to select the system via a 2nd brake pedal in the cockpit. Would someone be able to post a picture of the cockpit showing the extra pedal?

Are you sure McLaren had that double brake pedal system as early as in 1997? If memory serves, they introduced it on the 1998 MP4 13 for the Australian GP, before it got banned for the next race.
