Then she should not come to a public forum.

The time for the bickering, I think, is after the race.

Why let the insignificant matter of a race stand in the way of an amusing argument ;)

Looks like a strong possibility.

Just for the fun of it...

Fastest times of the day for the two;

Kimi 1:29.565

Grosjean 1:30.515

Roll on FP3 and Qualifying, can't wait!!!

on dry...

FP1:

Kimi 1:29:565 (p9 - 8 laps)

Romain 1:30:515 (p16 - 16 laps)

so in half the laps one sec quicker on dry...even with the bad steering...he even didn't drive for times in FP2...

I'm a Grosjean fan and i don't see the relevance to compare a nearly rookie to a a F1 world champion.

don't be like that, for example me as a long time Kimi fan actually like Grosjean as well, and yes I would also list him as a driver I'm rooting for. ;)

This thread will implode when Grojean out performs Kimi in a race. Can't wait to hear excuses from spin doctors.

It's almost inevitable it'll happen at least once, as a Kimi fan I can still accept it's unlikely Kimi will out-perform him in every single race, he's bound to have an occasional blip, I'm not worried about that

I think F1 could use a new French superstar and Bernie would probably agree with me. Kimi is an important part of F1 history but Romain is the future.

Kimi is the past ,the present and the future .... he transcends time you see !!

So dont you worry about that... if your fav sweet boy gets half as famous as Kimi , he should count himself lucky

Well good luck getting caught in between the two camps as they savagely spit and tear at each other's throats in here. Its going to be ugly, as most of these X vs Y threads tend to be. A bottomless pit of 'bang-your-head-into-the-wall' logic from fanboys and haters.

Maybe becuase you are actually a Grosjean (fan) and not another driver hater? :p It's a win win for Grosjean, if he gets beat its not shocking as he is paired with a fast WDC, and if he beats Kimi he will be considered the next best thing ever. :)

I wish both of them luck and success for the season ahead.

Fans of other teams fear Kimi, not so much (real) fans of Big Jean.

I think that say something!

well, not sure, the same was said for Rosberg, and didn't really work out like that... you could twist it and say it is a lose-lose for Grosjean, if he gets beaten then "even Kimi coming back from retirement beat him" and if he beats Kimi then "yeah but Raikkönen is past his best".

currently I mostly see Grosjean fans/Raikkonen anti-fans mocking Kimi, not really in the other direction... well understandable, as the winter wasn't full of "Grosjean's team" "Grosjean's car" etc, so us Kimi fans don't really have a reason to be mocking.
all in all, I hope Grosjean has a great season with occassional shining moments... just a bit less greater and with fewer of those moments than Kimi. :p

Raikkonen looked a bit lost in FP3, it is not just the time, he doesn't look "on it" right now... missing apexes, fighting the car on entry.

I think Grosjean will qualify significantly ahead.

Good work by Romain for showing the car has speed. Kimi is running heavier than Grosjean and Team Lotus reports Kimi is positive about the setup work done to the car.

Nowhere does it say that he's heavier than Grosjean.

you can see it from the times they made on track that Kimi is heavier if that is not a case and Romain is 1 second faster than I`m hugely surprised. People immediately think they are running same fuel load but I don`t think so..Kimi was all the time 1-1,5 seconds off Romains times, no way they had same fuel load.

If he's still uncomfortable with the steering then, unfortunately, it might just be the case that he is that much slower than Romain. Perhaps it will narrow down to 0.5, but I dont think the two of them were on different loads, considering as all other drivers within the same team were pretty much on the same program and relatively close to each other.

It looked to me that Kimi was fueled for 'long-run' pace on his first two sets of primes. I'm not sure if the team wanted to have a look at degradation data so it could be shared between the drivers. I also didn't get a chance to see Kimi on the options on the screen. Other than entering the pit box and a practice pit stop.

We'll get a clearer picture in quali!

Knowing from the past that Kimi always kept his best for quali, drawing conclusions and making sweeping statements before then is a bit silly

Grosjean will be no pushover. Badly timed qualifying laps and power steering is making it look too easy.
