You don't seem to grasp it mate: I knew perfectly well who you support. Ferrari for wcc and Alonso for wdc. No need to be a genious to notice.

This is about who you claimed to support lots of times despite blatantly disliking. That's what "didn't stick for a second".

It might be about that if you had a valid reason for bringing it up. But you were trying to say that me being afraid of a Lotus driver possibly being in front a Ferrari driver was somehow 'proof' of my dislike for Raikkonen you so continually accuse me of. This is about you wanting to find a cheap way of throwing a shot at me and my opinions without a good reason.

I do enjoy Lotus doing well. Driver-wise, its my equal favorite lineup along with Vettel and Webber. But this late in the season and things getting pretty tough(desperate) for Ferrari, I'm definitely in the mind to not enjoy anybody who is looking to be ahead of Ferrari. I actually think Lotus can go well here and I genuinely fear Raikkonen and Grosjean getting in the way. You've somehow managed to turn that into a way to bash me, and it seems a little petty. If Alonso gets pole, with Raikkonen 2nd and Grosjean 3rd, I would be in heaven, I promise. Not just championship wise, but because its a bunch of drivers I want seeing do well. You cant seem to grasp how this is possible, but I promise you its true.

I dodn't expect that coming from you. Really good stuff    I agree in 100 %

Why were you so surprised? I have always been supportive of the team and the car.

Having those blocked intakes mounted in Kimis car cant be for the good when Grosjean is running clear of them. It will cost him something..

What's happening to Kimi's car? :stoned:

FP1 - DDRS fail
FP2 - KERS fail
FP3 - anti-roll bar fail

Quali - ?

Hopefully whatever problems can sorted out.

KRs going to play catch up for the rest of the weekend..damage limitation yet again.

He complained about both front and rear grip in FP3..he's basically had had no running to find a baseline setup..DDRS fail in FP1,KERS in P2 and then Anti RB in FP3.

Grosjean looks good...i so hope he can build up some momentum this time.

yep

so he seems 0.2 sec per lap slower than RG consistently thus far..in fp3,and now both laps in Q1,same gap.

Lets see if he can tweak the setup in the right direction, come Q2 and 3

I think it's really amazing that he is so close to Grosjean despitate missing almost 2 practises...makes you think how fast he would be if he would have had trouble free practises.

Agreed...he didnt have anyway near enough running to find a proper setup.

Not a big surprise the difference between both Lotus given that set-up in Suzuka needs some work in it: and Räikkönen didn't really had the chance to work on it in the free practices.
I guess they can try to fine-tune a bit what they have, but they can't change much now that qualy is on. Not the best position to be if you're trying to fight for a championship in a small team.

He should prolly just go out in Q2 once at the end and save a set of softs..hes already used one in Q1.the saved set could be important tomorrow

when they use one set of softs in Q1, that's the same set of tyres they use in the first run of Q2, so they only use another new set in Q2 (the one of the second hot lap), and the other one for Q3. :)

I know..i thought he may have to make 2 runs at the end of Q2 to get in.was saying he should do just one and then settle for what happens.

As it turns out,KR found some speed and went 4 tenths faster than his Q1 lap.

I admit, I found very weird that you didn't know that :)

I do prefer when teams do the two runs (1 used, 1 new), because they are protected from yellow or red flags.

3rd place was easily achieavable with his times. Made a mistake, dissapointed once more time he underperformed when it mattered. We could have taken a large points of Alonso.

I'm not that sure, Räikkönen has spoiled everybody else's lap and I think Red Bulls and McLaren, minimum, would have been in front anyway.

Red Bulls definitely, but he had a measure of Hamilton in qualifying. Button was there but he would get a penalty.

I think fourth (promoted to third was possible with that lap) Hamilton was no where near to the times of Button during the quali and started his last q3 lap slower than Kimi so I think Kimi could/would/should have been in front of him...Kimi also was 0,3 seconds in front of Grosjean (who did 1,31,8) after first sector so Kimi could have done 1,31,5-1,31,7 with that lap for sure.

Well let´s say that both Kimi and Lotus underperformed this weekend so far (well Kimi did not underperform when it comes to his pace but coz of his mistake).
Then again I am surprised how close Kimi was to Romain´s times!

Guess Romain will start third with the penalty of Button and Koba (who might get one)

This is the first time he's screwed up majorly this season.I for one think his Qualifying was excellent just before that last lap considering he just had one practice session..his lap in Q2 was a stormer

I think the car is somewhat back to their usual competitiveness. Main focus would be to do better than Alonso and Ferrari this weekend.

If the tracking of the F1-app is right, that should not happen. When Grosjean drove through the spoon, Räikkönen was already heading to the pits and there was no yellow flag. What I can't find is the reason for the bad 2nd Grosjean lap. Was he on used tyres?

no, he had new ones...he just spoiled first sector with 33,1...when Kimi did 32,8 but then spoiled his second sector.

Romain should have been faster than Koba but P4 is still tremendous result. Kimi unfortunately fuked up his flying lap... :| . Top 5 finnish for both Lotus cars will be great achievement tomorrow.

Nice weekend from Lotus:

First, the team can't mount up a car properly and their title contender spends most of the trainings looking the butterflies fly
Then, the title contender spins in Q3.
And to finish the other driver does a crappy lap -or underperforms, if we use this thread's vocabulary- in Q3 (still to be confirmed, he might have had some kind of problem, let's wait and see).

Really nice

A heap of praise for Lotus F1 team  ..they are back on it after 3 weekends on being in the midfield..with a big update planned for Korea,im suddenly optimistic again.

KR and Gro were the 4th and 5th fastest cars today with only the RBs and Button in front of them.

Lotus is third fastest in this race, that's quite clear. Now we should see the race pace and then judge. I think Alonso will be strong with it.

what worries is that Kimi hasn't done long runs, so there is no knowdledge how his tyres will last but Grosjean did good longer run yesterday althought it was with slower fuel load than Red Bull and McLaren had.

KR's long runs should be good too considering RG's pace.. definite chance of a podium tomorrow since Mclaren and RB's reliability isnt legendary and there is a 60% chance of safety car at Suzuka IIRC.

Permane's comments on his drivers Q3 performance should be interesting :D ...maybe KR will get some reprieve cuz of missed practice sessions.

It's true, the pace was there. That's comforting. What a shame that Kimi spun.
