How can you deduce this?

I see a lot of Grosjean bash here.....

I think he will be there, he is there for future.

I'm not bashing Grosjean, I think he is a very fast driver, but not mentally fit for F1, spinning out at the US grand prix shows that. We need a driver to bring in points.

Lets see what happens in Brazil.

If nothing happens in Brazil, seeing that EB is his manager, most probably he will be with the team at least for another year. May not be a bad thing after all, since less changes then they can focus on the the new season. Although I will not hold my breath for a clean season from Grojean, but if this is his place this is his place.

Let see how he develops next year?

I think he shown enough to be in F1.

Or if F1 has to fire him so should fire Kobayashi, Perez, Maldonado.....

How many drivers spins?

It's just a mistake.

He is running in top 8 for his first ever complete season. His only big problem, is to be compared with Kimi in short term. But it will be beneficial for long term.

Grosjean will have multiple year contract with Lotus if and when it will be released.

Grosjean is fast, he should be given some more time. I think he needs to mature a lot, the thinking seems to be all over the place. Too eager on track, no calm and collected approach.

To be fair, i think his problem is too ambitious and lack of judgement either on track or off track. He knows that the team is treating him like McL did with Hamilton, and he tries to act like that. But he kind of rushes things instead of building up little by little. I would love to see him settle down a bit and really building things up in his own pace if he gets another year.

Yes they have certainly done well.

It would be funny if they had a large 'Burn' on the back of the rear wing - especially when the car overtakes another car :).

Hahaha. "Burn" on the back-side of the DRS flap would be great. Overtake with DRS, after the overtake the DRS flap closes showing "Burn" :rotfl:

He did bring in points, though. Whatever man. You're always bashing Grosjean.

Anyways, great news for Lotus. Its been fantastic seeing them do well this year and some financial security should hopefully let them continue to do so.

it was the same last year...and the year before...

Lotus needs indead some major sponsorship, so let's hope they can have 2 big new sponsors... Honeywell and Coca cola through Burn would be great...

Btw Total is paying 30 million for having grosjean on board...doubt that maldo bring more

well not a bad guess from me... I said it this morning :rotfl:

Sorry but he didn't fall as sleep, he lost his focus while in dominating the race, it happends when you slow down you pace too much ( Like Senna did famously at Monaco).

No need to be defensive over it. I think Kimi even said that he nearly fell asleep or something like that. I dont think he meant literally, he was just dramatizing how bored he was.

TBH, he never said he fell asleep, what he said was, when you're leading by a country mile, it becomes boring and you start fiddling with the switches and buttons and loose focus and make a mistake.

Remember, kimi is not one of those guys who has to be constantly reminded to turn into a corner, or change a gear like Felipe baby. thus without any excitement, it must get really lonely for the ICEMAN . I guess, he'd prefer Abu Dhab 2012 over Melbourne 2007 anyday.

on the serious note though, i'm not confident about E20's pace on wets, it has hard time to generate heat on softs with clouds in the sky, Deus knows what'll it do with wet's/inters with sub 20 deg temperature. Also not to forget the running rivers in this track in wet weather due to elevation change. yes the coanda is working, but it's far from perfect. but i really think that this track's layout should suit lotus more that austin, specially in S2.

i've always liked playing this track on Sims. It has the flow only comparable to Suzuka IMO.

News of Burn sponsoring is great! (I guess those news is what we "should've had during the US Gp-weekend)

Are you trying to imply Montoya is returning to F1? ;)

:p No problem.
Just design smart Montoya-fitted seats in the 2013 car with sponsor money from McDonalds

I think it will be so too, but it's really strange.
Wonder if they would keep some other driver after so many crashes on one season?
Why can't Lotus try Charles Pic or Vergne instead if it must be a French driver in the other seat?

Lotus with Burn... could someone do a simulation on how their car may look a like 2013?

http://www.burn.si/

Burn is black and (gold), GOld can be a bit darker and not a straight line?

well you never know, lotus is yet to announce RG's contract (though 95% done deal), but maybe ... just maybe Pic may also be linked to that seat. IMHO, if Boullier wasn't his manager, Total would've re-instated another french driver in his seat in 2013. but i'm not bashing RG , i think he has genuine pace and can give kimi run for his Ice-creams (in the qualy... for now atleast). but kimi has the experience and the patience that RG doesn't or didn't.

i fully expect their CAN design to be on the barge board with the santander style flame. but IMO they'll concentrate on side pods, may be Genii will be gone, or there might be some shark-fin going on. i read somewhere that FIA wants to re-introduce shark fin to put drive No. and flag so that viewers can easily identify who the Frak we're looking at.

Except that Microsoft sponsors Lotus

  - but maybe Burn can compensate little with its 'coolness'

Anyway, really great that Lotus got a new sponsor in Burn!
Not so worried anymore :)

Yeah, I think also Grosjean has a great talent and is very fast.
I was very surprised and impressed of his qualy pace in the beginning of the season.
When he finishes, he brings usually really good points for the team.
But he must learn to control himself and take the car home more often.
Grosjean and Kimi can develop to a really great team.
But if we want to win WCC next year, Grosjean just must learn to behave himself and do it right now! ;)

the exhaust bulge is much smaller than the initial one, perhaps they are reducing the tubings and exiting the exhaust close to the body. also the front wing seems to have extra slots at where the aerofoil meets endplate. and there seems to be extra directing fins just before the barge-board.

Yah the front wing has new cascades and fins...The Enstone based team has always been famous for extensive frnot wing updates throughout past seasons.

if i have to pick an area ... KERS

thankfully its on FP1, if rain is predicted for the race, then all these dry running is meaningless, bar the Qualy off-course

so 16 laps done by KR this session..they will make up for that in FP2.

Grosjean did 33 laps
