Here is the entry list for the Monza GP meeting in 1979.
Think this Karl Wendlinger is the father of the GT driver of today, former Sauber F1 and sportscar racer, team mate to Michael Schumacher.

Reading from Autosprint in the link above provided by alfaronny:
The drivers of the Alfasud Trofeo championship made their cars available for the day, to support the charity initiative, quite a generous act. Each of them were paired with an F1 driver over three heats of 10 laps each, two with F1 drivers and one with Alfasud Trofeo drivers. The Fiat group drivers [Lauda, Rega, Munari and Cambiaghi] did their bit on Fiat 131s [Ferrari always wanted to distinguish himself; Alfa Romeo were not yet part of the group at the time].
The "winners", by sum of the times, were Merzario-Galli on Alfasuds and Regazzoni-Pianta for the Fiat heats. Peterson and Ertl were the winners of the two F1 drivers' heats.
Galli, the winner of the Alfasud race alongside Arturo Merzario was Paolo Galli, Nanni's elder brother, who at the time competed occasionally in touring-car races.

Why? To differentiate them from their male competitors.
Sometimes easier to find someone
