Maybe I'm the only one but I find this entire image disrupting. I'm not blaming autosport for this, I don't even know if they can do anything but it bugs me nonetheless.
Very poor ad placement IMO

That is just... bad taste.

Autosport probably doesn't have direct control over ad placement. They didn't specifically place that ad there, it just gets served there.
Doesn't make it right or acceptable though!

I'm aware of that, I just meant to bring this to Autosport's attention in case they have some way of filtering ads and prevent this bad combination from happening again.
My post was in no way meant to blame Autosport or suggest they would do this on purpose.

Hi everyone,
As Autosport's new digital product manager, I wanted to comment on this.
Touti - thanks for bringing this to our attention. The advert itself is part of a network deal which runs across our site, and wasn't placed against this story intentionally but it's very important to us to avoid this sort of unfortunate juxtaposition. We're able to block specific adverts from appearing as part of these network deals (which is why you should never see porn ads, etc. appearing on Autosport) and our Ad ops team are asking the network to block this advert from Autosport. Hopefully this will be able to happen as quickly as possible!
(EDIT - as I'm not sure how long this process may take, we've blocked all ads from any stories about Maria De Villota until we know that the offending ads have been blocked)
If this advert appears again, or if you adverts which are unsuitable for Autosport either in context or because of their inherent nature, you can bring them to my attention by posting in this forum, but I'll see your message more quickly if you drop an E-mail to Simon.Grayson@Haymarket.com

Simon, thank you for the prompt action...very difficult to catch everything posted on such a large site...but good to hear the right attitude and response for a change. Regards, Mick

Good response, that has to be said.
