After a sabbatical in 2014, Melbourne’s Trofeo Motorsport will return to the grid for the 2015 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-Hour, the Australian GT regulars now Ferrari mounted which will more than suit their returning star international driver Ivan Capelli.

Capelli is well know to Australian fans, and to Trofeo Motorsport for whom he has competed in the past, the Italian having a great affinity with the Ferrari product after contesting the 1992 Formula One world championship for the team as part of a career that spanned 98 grands prix between 1985 and 1993.

Trofeo recently conducted a two-day shakedown of the car at Phillip Island, at the same time testing the three compounds that Pirelli will have available at Bathurst for the 12-Hour, Manolios admitting he was impressed with the durability of the softer rubber.

The Bathurst 12 Hour field is edging ever closer to completion, with Ferrari squad AF Corse firming its line-up for the February 6-8 event. The Italian outfit is bringing two Ferrari 458 GT3s to this year’s event.
Last year’s drivers Steven Wyatt, Michele Rugolo and Marco Cioci will all return, but are slated to be split across the two cars.

Australian Wyatt and Italian Rugolo, who teamed to win last December’s Gulf 12 Hours in Abu Dhabi, will share the #77 entry with a third, yet-to-be-confirmed driver. Cioci will meanwhile be joined by fellow Italian Piergiuseppe Perazzini and Briton Aaron Scott in the other car, which will wear the #3.

Some interesting amateurs in pro Am!

Mika Salo and Tony D'Alberto together, maybe this makes "The Stig" as the amateur?

Bathurst 12 Hour organisers have confirmed details of the television broadcast and online streaming service for the February 6-8 event.

Seven’s live coverage will commence on 7mate at 5:30am, 20 minutes prior to the race start.

The broadcast will then switch to Seven’s main channel from 2pm, continuing through until the finish.

The coverage will be hosted by Seven’s Mark Beretta, who will also perform pit reporter duties during the race.

Radio Le Mans host John Hindhaugh and event media manager Richard Craill will commentate, while Shea Adam also returns as a pit reporter.

Live streaming via the race’s own website will this year be split into a local feed, mirroring the Seven coverage, and a separate international feed.

Live streaming will also be available on Saturday, with commentary-only broadcast through Radio Le Mans on Friday.
