It's too bad that Simeon turned out to only be successful at trashing bodywork, he looked pretty promising right up until his move to Moto2.

I dont think it was mentioned here, but Paul Bird will field 2 bikes next year, one rider will be english (Sam Lowes ?), the other will be chosed by Dorna.

Along with the Czech 16-year-old Karel Hanika, the star of the second half of this Red Bull Rookies season.

I thought he was doing Red Bull Rookies again. Have things changed?

The 2nd factory KTM seat is still available for 2013.

Can a 17 year old be held to a contract in Spain? Avintia would be stupid to try and keep a rider who doesn't want to be there.

with the judicial system we have in spain anything is possible, depending on the judge who tries your case you will learn that 2 plus 2 doesnt equal 4

Oops, no, I meant that he was a Red Bull Rookies star along with Hanika. :) Haven't heard anything about Karel moving into Grands Prix.

Although he'd be very welcome in Moto3.

I heard about Sam Lowes, but at the BSB finale they were still talking about Shane Byrne as the favourite for that ride. Tommy Hill was mentioned but it seems he'd rather go to World Superbikes. News search suggests nothing's been confirmed, but I think Sam can afford to spend another year in WSS to try and win the title. He's capable of being a regular race winner there.

Personally I hope Sam stays in WSS, I just cannot accept that a CRT ride is a good thing. In fact, I've no interest in CRTs at all. Just my opinion of course.

I personnaly asked Sam at Magny Cours :D, he said he was most probably going to stay in WSS, and wasn't attracted at all by CRTs ...

Dafuq.

Dorna is basically paying for that second bike, so its probably normal they pick the rider too.

Foret and Sofuoglu will be teammates in the Indian MSD team in WSS next year. This team had Marino and Linfoot for riders this season, and will be the factory Kawasaki squad.

The pace is there so he should preserve his tyre early on for the late push!

That backs up what I've heard. I don't think Lowes is very likely now.

The second Paul Bird bike is likely to be Yonny Hernandez. Dorna want him to stay in MotoGP but his seat has been taken by Hector Barbera.

Fami never, ever seems able to hang on with the pack late in a race, and I cant see any reason for that changing.

he is fine on new tyres but cant ride for toffee when the tyres go off, same as most out there really.

He had a 2 years contract with Kawasaki anyway. I find it funny that he'll be parterning with Foret, the guy he gave a headbutt at 150mph at Aragon

If I had a team next year, Fahmi would be a rider I'd be trying to sign. He's got a lot of natural talent and I don't think it'll be long before he makes the next step to become a contender for race wins.

Lorenzo can be crowned champion if Pedrosa hits big troubles tomorrow.

Marquez and Cortese will most probably be crowned here.

Is that why he is half a second slower than Barbera?

Yes. Exactly why. Its obviously not a simple bike to ride.

Rossi has also never been known as that strong a qualifier. He tends to do his thing on raceday.

Fantastic Moto 3 race. Totally worth the early start. 1 of 3 potential chamionships decided this weekend.

Strong prospects of rain for later.

EDIT: Monsoon rain really coming down now.

Tony Fernandes should stop throwing money down that F1 black hole and start a MotoGP team.

And they really have to stop scheduling these Malaysian GPs in the late afternoon.

The race was just getting interesting. Why red-flag it. Ridiculous decision. And now they want to re-start it again...

Lorenzo will be happy...;)

Anyway stunning drive from Pedrosa.

7 lap dash could be huge if Stoner can get the jump on Lorenzo.

How absurd taking the racing off bbc2 for a cookery show highlights show.

Makes you wonder why a Malaysian O&G giant like Petronas keeps sponsoring Mercedes where they have absolutely no say in the running of the F1 team. Better put their money on talented rider like ZulFahmi.

Lorenzo... you... you... lucky boy.
I don't think the race will be continued because the rain is getting heavier. I wish they stopped the race after at least Stoner passed Lorenzo. I don't think Lorenzo could survive another lap though, unless he drive very slowly.
This is definitely the best I've ever seen Pedrosa drove in the wet. At first I was worried that Pedrosa would be a little bit slow based on the previous wet races, but the pace today is stunning.

Because they are a global company? MotoGP's popularity is plummeting in most countries.

If they hadn't red-flagged it when they did, how fast Stoner was going wouldn't have been relevant 'cause they'd all have been drownded.

Actually, he still had to make it to the pit lane within 5 minutes to be classified. If he had dropped the bike and not been able to restart it, that would havemeant zero points.

No way they'll still race today.

Probably need 2 more laps (with lap 14 counted) so Stoner could be in front of Lorenzo and classify as being in front of Lorenzo. Looking at how it pours, yes, it wouldn't be possible :(
