4) Who'd have thought that in the space of 12 months, these two men would be out of motorcycle racing?

That's what real racing is about. Not the incredibly dull, computer controlled, MotoGP. Not the pathetic and fake racing of F1.

THAT is what rule makers should be trying to achieve.

I think Smith is just trying to avoid injury now to be honest.

And Smith goes fastest in Moto2 warm-up :)

LOL

They had computer controlled bikes, taking part in a Moto GP like battle for 2nd because the winner is 10 seconds up the road all while trying to win the most horrible, contrived, excuse for a championship i've ever seen.
Oh yeah it was a great battle but that Showdown is a joke and has made a mockery of the once great BSB Championship.

F*ck the BBC - cut off with about 10 seconds warning on the penultimate Moto2 lap to show the Rememberance Sunday service, while showing a repeat of "Flog It" on BBC2. Good thing I had my netbook on, anyone without their internet on would have been seriously pissed.

Never seen anything like this. I know some say he has a bike advantage, or that the bike is illegal, but I really think it's down to his unbelievable talent. So much better than the rest of the Moto2 riders. Let's see how he adapts to MotoGP, but I wouldn't be shocked if he's a contender in his rookie season.

BBC are an absolute joke, they cut the race off 2 laps from the finish to show a program they're broadcasting on their main channel.

I'm going to wait and see, Dani looked like he was going to be unbelievable when he was in 125/250s but it hasn't turned out that way and Stoner didn't look anything special yet look how he turned out.

Most people have their priorities right. You do know there is never any motorsport in the UK on Remembrance Sunday?

What have the Marques knockers got to say about that?

No I didn't, but what's the point of them cutting from a race in Spain to show their BBC 1 coverage on a second channel with no prior warning? They didn't even cut to it straight away, as they were adverts for other BBC shows, programme guide for the rest of the day, etc - they could've shown the race to completion. Poor from the BBC.

Ducati and Team Alstare together in World Superbike for two years as Team Ducati Alstare

• Two-year agreement with Francis Batta’s Belgian organisation, Team Alstare.
• Carlos Checa and Ayrton Badovini confirmed rider line-up.
• Team will compete under the title: “Team Ducati Alstare”.

Nice to see Casey giving us one last moan, complaining the team were too slow to tell him the slicks were quicker.

But in all seriousness he's been one of the greats and it's a shame he is leaving when he is clearly still as quick, if not quicker, than he has been before. Hope he finds fun in whatever he does next.

I thought the opposit of this: Guinters to Ducati, Badovini to Aprilia.

I also think Badovini is a good rider, we will see how good he is (and how good the new Paganile)

**

Is it official that the ParkinGO is finished?

Any rumor about some private BMW team?

Great job by Dani he made the right call coming in and stayed cool, Lorenzo lost his cool and made a big mistake by wanting to pass Ellison to soon. That crash from Crutchlow was strange. Good to see Stoner getting a podium in his last race and god i hope he changes his mind after 2 years and does make a comeback.

And ofcourse fantastic job from Nakasuga getting a podium amazing ride by him and great too see the emotions at Yamaha.

Hmm not sure i like this, i would rather have seen Guinters going to Ducati im not so sure about Badovini.

The price you pay to see the progression of a one-in-a-decade class rider.
