I just learned of the passing of one of the greatest men that we're likely to see in a long time. Bill Milliken passed away Saturday, July 28.

Thoughts, prayers, memories, may be shared here: http://www.beachtuyn...lliam/index.php

He may have passed away but what a full and complete life.

I remember him driving his "camber car" up the Goodwood hill in his 90's

I can't imagine a man more loved by his friends and respected by his associates. I will recall fondly our get-togethers at the SAE motorsports conferences and so on.

Bentley Publishers has provided a nice bio of Bill here.

whilst the passing of anyone is cause for a moment of reflection, with Bill his achievements and full life may require a little more time than most and no doubt the best wishes of many he had never met...now if only I can overcome my failings and understand some of the damn math better!

A man who made a heroic contribution to American motorsport. And what a good innings.

Rest in peace

A great life!
If I have half his life and half his knowledge I would be very happy!
