Dear friends

Does anyone have Autoweek 29 Dec 1978? I am told that there is an advert in there for a Brabham BT9 that I'm currently researching. May have been described as a BT15 or even as a BT21. Probably described as Formula C. May have had a MAE engine. Probably in the Wichita, Kansas area.

Could anyone take a look for me and tell me what it says?

Many thanks

Allen

I have that issue. In the "Formula Cars" section, there are three Brabhams listed:

1) "FB Brabham BT21" with an Illinois area code.
2) "Brabham F/B" in Texas
3) "Brabham-Fiat 128 Formula C" with a California area code.

OH! Almost missed it! In the "Collectors" section:

Brabham BT15 F/F Fresh strong Cortina: Updated Hewland MkII. Plenty of gears, jets, and aluminum wheels, trailer etc. Ready for school. Goes for $1800. (316)682-6625. Frank Dickerson, 1122 N. Dellrose, Wichita, KS 67208

Good man! Thanks very much.

Frank Dickerson was a well renowned midget racer so I'm not sure what he'd have been doing with a Formula Ford Brabham. He died in 1995 so it won't be simple to find out either.
