The Victory was a Nice Snack!

HS November 2012 (paper edition)
Analysis by Juha Päätalo

For those who already retired and then fell for the F1-car again, the prognosis isn't especially good as Michael Schumacher's example proves.

It's exactly because of that why one has to wonder after Kimi Räikkönen's victory in Abu Dhabi how it now happened like this....Click here to continue reading

I keep hearing that certain people within the F1 paddock were very angry and displeased with Kimi leaving and returning the way he did, also the fact that Kimi said he didn't watch F1 during his 2 year hiatus.

Who are these people?

Is it that much of an issue?

Maybe the certain media-people who so bad wanted Kimi to leave that Ferrari seat in 2008-2009. And now he came back and the whole Lotus team is praising how well he's motivating everyone. If I were one of them I could be pretty annoyed also. :D

But who wants to remember those things. Lets be happy how the things turned out to be eventually :)

Well if it helps, I already know I won't be around for quali then ;)

..and it strikes again: couldn't catch the quali, recording hasn't worked 'cause harddisk was full - voilà, P4 for the Iceman! Very sorry that I won't be able to miss the race this evening

Argg, imagine if Schumacher gets a better start than Kimi and it's the usual Schumi train.

It would be strange for people to be unhappy Kimi was doing rally it wasn't like he was sitting around at home with nothing to do. He didn't really have time to follow F1.

Anyways with Kimi starting on the dirty side I just hope he doesn't get stuck behind Schumacher again.

Is it just me or are the hours dragging along slowly like a HRT with no tyres ? still almost 3 hours to go!!! This time last race i was still shaking hootin and hollerin

Now that WDC is beyond any hope i'm not as fussed about the result as i was but would like to see Kimi really go for everything, but then i also want him to finish the race, I know there are no trophies for it but it would be great to get to the end of the season with him having completed every lap, I doubt it would mean much to him, or many others, but i feel it would still be something of an achievement, another podium would be a nice addition to the tally though.

This was Kimi's mistake. There was no need to hurry that move. In that process he damaged his tyres even!

It was there, why not go for it? It's a tricky track right now, Lewis did the same thing with Webber
