Folks:
The 2012 Colorado Grand, a charity tour for pre-1960 sports cars, has just been completed. The event, a 1,000-mile, four-day drive through the Colorado Rockies during the colorful fall season, raises about $250,000 annually for small Colorado charities and since 1989 has generated $3.5 million in donations. About 90 cars participate, and this year's feature car (special invitation) was the 289 Cobra (last year's was the Ferrari GTO, and we had four of them). This year's oldest car was a 1928 Bentley; about half a dozen pre-war Alfas also participated, along with a Lagonda, a pair of BMW 328s, 17 Ferraris, three four-cam Porsches, and many more. For a taste of the event, see: http://www.autoweek....EWS04/120919923 and click on the "related story" link there.
