Big Mercedes sign dominating the front of that isn't there?...

Same size as old one. At least try to check things first.

Gonna have to check for the yellow t-cam this weekend as it'll be a lot harder to tell JB and LH apart now LH has that special on.

Unless Jenson switches to a special yellow helmet. That would make the race thread pretty awkward.

For a short time, there was a 6 second gap between P1 and P2.

Correct me if i am indeed wrong, but does Vettel have flashing LEDs in his helmet?

Kravtiz saying teams are complaining about variations in the tires.

Sounds like poor products from Pirelli?

lotus recently commented that their lack of pace was partially due to structually changed (strengthened) tyres for spa and monza (which would've even made it possible to drive a race on 1 set of tyres), could be the same here as well.

Did Kimi just posted the fastest lap after his long run or did he pit before that?

At some point this weekend Grosjean is going to end up in the wall at the chicane.

I think he had a blinking helmet at last year's RoC as well. Different one though. Of course.

Edit: Too slow. :/

Glad the rain has largely stayed away. I quite like Hamilton's helmet in theory but at racing speeds it looks far too much like Button's.

It's looking like a straight fight between Lewis and Vettel. Both drivers are very strong at this track.

Indeed, nothing more to add. Button & Alonso to fight for 3rd.

Qualifying will likely decide the winner. The track is too tight for any bold moves. Hopefully Alonso will finish outside podium just to close the gap at the top.

Q3 is going to be tense I bet. I just hope it's decided on pace and not a strategy cock up.

Usually I would agree with you, but Red Bull are usually very strong on these tracks, Vettel is strong here and Lewis has already hooked up the Mclaren nicely and early into the weekend, which bodes well for him. I'm sure Jenson will find more pace, but for me this race has Lewis Vs Vettel written all over it.

I hope so. Don't want to see Alonso running away with the championship.

You come to this conclusion after practice one? Alonso will be in the game and we have to wait what Lotus and Mercedes will do. To think about a Vettel- Lewis fight for the win after one session is rather silly.

I'm sorry but this is crazy to suggest its all over for all but two drivers after only one practise session. Do we really know that much about tyre wear, fuel loads, what new parts teams were testing?

Wait until the end of P3 if you want to start making predictions about quali. And even then this is a long race on a tight track with a SC possible - a lot can happen.

I'm not sure, it seems like a reasonable prediction. Vettel and Hamilton 1-2 again, three tenths ahead of the competition.
