Well it's an inconvenient truth isn't it.

No alonso has been lucky. No mech failures always increases his lead due to others misfortunes.

Again, looking at it all since 2005 and not just Singapore 2012.

I am wondering, how many championships since 2000 have been HEAVILY influenced by poor reliability from the runner-ups?
2000 is arguably one of those, although Schumacher had back-to-back retirements which were capitalized by Mika.
2005 and 2006, quite obviously.
2010 ALMOST.
And this one is looking like it is going to be the case.

Boo hoo my heart bleeds. Like I said, it's not Alonso's fault people make mistakes. What is he supposed to do? Retire in sympathy? Anyway, the reason that Alonso benefits him from others misfortune is that he often puts himself in the mix.

capable to challenge the leader while driving a faster car - he means.

but i m glad that Seb is winning if Lewis didnt. He is the other challenger who can save us from the great red celebration - Maranello is planning

Now, if this was Vettel, Dan would have been ordered out of the way faster than you could blink.

when you lead by 1.7 seconds you also have to be wary of who's on your back, im sure lewis wasnt at full speed but im sure vetttel and button werent either

Yup!

The car is behind Mclaren which means he wont win the title, Mclaren believe it or not i know its hard wont **** up EVERY race, and considering the last four races have had 4 mclaren poles im inclined to believe that trend will continue till the seasons end, Vettel needs wins to win the title and he wont get enough im afraid, Mclarens too fast.

Alonso maximised the potential of his car, which is no way near as fast as the McLaren. Nothing lucky about that. He could have messed up just as bad but didn't. Won Malaysia with a car that should not have there. He performs his maximum.

Seb did very well as sid Jense. PdR very very good - FA quite OK. Lewis very unfortunate.

MSc a total moron - he seems to thrive on being an idiot in Singapore.

Nah the issue is that RB's qualifying isn't good enough this season for Vettel to repeatedly win and catch Alonso. Gonna be very hard for Hamilton to close the gap with so few races remaining.

Stop bitching y'all. I don't like it. Vettel drove his race very well but Hamilton got pissed on by his team. Button couldn't do it on these tyres. Too bad but hey, it was reasonably exciting :)

diResta 4th, not bad for a little name.

Hope Vettel can challenge for WDC yet, doubt it due to unreliability and McLaren being faster lately.

McLaren was the best bet to fight for WDC, less after today.

This is a boring circuit.

Nice one Seb. So many people had all but written him off. He is now Alonso's closest challenger. With Red Bull favored tracks on the way.
