That he is unlucky...and McLaren provided him with the worst car since he joined the team.

And let's remind that the worse car that McLaren produce since 2010 won 7(should be 8 including Catalunya) poles and 4 races from Lewis's hand. 1 pole and 2 races from MIGHTY BUTTON....It must be the worse McLaren that MIGHTY BUTTON has ever driven!

Story of his season. Shame for Hulk too to make that error as he was driving a very good race up until then.

JB looking good for a deserving victory.

Could of been a great 1-2 or 1-3 or 2-3 but Hulkenberg goes and takes that away...

Anyway, JB has been great today as well, just a shame we couldn't see both of them on the podium!

Well that just sums up Lewis vs. Jenson. Lewis is taken out while leading and Jenson cruises to the win. Sigh. :(

Lewis beats Jenson in the end by a whole two points. :|

I'm feeling very dejected.

Well that was a microcosm of much of their together, lewis qualifying just ahead, great no holds barred but fair battles between the two, JB quicker in one stint, lewis in another, JB getting strategy spot on and lewis getting sod all luck

Can't count this as a race win that got away for lewis though, JB and Hulk the only leading guys to stay out.

Lewis was on pace to either win it or finish 2nd. He certainly had a pace advantage over Jenson in the 2nd stint.

No need, Hamilton is the better driver and it is not as close as some would think and not as wide as other think

lets not be churlish ... JB was way better in these conditions today - it was only the safety car that allowed LH back in it after he could not live with him in the first wetish phase of the race.

Button was faster on the options, but on the primes, also in the wet, Hamilton was faster.

I'm not sure the pace differential was enough to clawback a 44 second deficit though ;)

Yes, the safety car helped Hamilton and the Nico handed the win to Button.

Funny you are selectively only focusing on the laps Lewis was faster and totally ignore the time in the race where he was 55 seconds behind Jenson.

Anyhow, what happened to Lewis was comparatively worse than what happened to Jenson via the safety car, really no extraordinalrily great feelings of this race.

So rank their six seasons....

IMO
1. Hamilton 2012
2. Hamilton 2010
3. Button 2011
4. Button 2010
5. Button 2012
6. Hamilton 2011

I'd only bestow respectability on the the top three, in terms of getting close to the maximum possible from the equipment.

Jenson was brilliant in the first part of the race before the Safety car, then Lewis was doing a brilliant job, then Hulk happened! Should've been a one-two today.

I really hate the luck term, you still need to keep the car on the track and drive a reasonable laptime.

This. Real shame for Hamilton's McLaren career to end that way, and Nico had been doing so well too. Massive anti-climax, well done to JB today though.

JB drove very well today, especially in the first part. I felt LH deserved it on the whole though.

But just like his year, rotten luck strikes again... I saw it coming, he's been in the position to win back to back races a number of times this season but something always happens. I wondered what it could be this time... and then Hulk who you would have thought was one of the better up and coming drivers goes ahead and does this rubbish just as both of them were comfortably pulling away from JB

Before the SC, Jenson was better. After the SC, Lewis was better. Completely normal in these wet races. They should've been both on the podium, doesn't matter the final position. But Hulkenberg is another driver like Grosjean, very fast but lacks a brain, so he had to ruin everything, including his race.

true and when a driver is taken out of the race through no fault of his own the other driver who was falling away from the lead wins he is lucky

This is crazy... I know some people will hold on to this stat to somehow demonstrate that the two were more or less equal which is absurd...

Even with Hamilton and the so called frickin' Hulk pulling away in the second stint - you'd have been a brave man to hedge your bets either way today.

Probably the closest performance I've seen between them...... Ironically at the last race.

If a full "win" is worth 1....... then I'd call this weekend 0.5 in JB's favour....... could have easily been the other way though...........

Says it all really

Fittingly Lewis finished off by crashing because of a back-marker after winning because of a back-marker in Texas
The winner overall imo after 3 years of McLaren is Jenson Button

Well done Jense
