Yeah.... No spear car. Age etc.

All amount to a more cautious process of learning the track. I'm not at all surprised that he has been conservative in approach with FP1.

Nothing changed much in FP2.

I was following both onboard on mediums, with Speed's onboard streams, and they were all struggling with grip. Every car was sliding, RBR apart. Nico managed to get a quite errorless lap in the end of his stint with options while MSC still was sliding too much on his final attempt on the same conditions.

Because the track is still way too slippery and things(grip) will change A LOT, I mean really a lot, throughout the weekend, I still won't wright Schumi off this weekend against Nico but it isn't promising so far. Nico have an advantadge so far, if that is due to better setup/balance, then we can all guess

Rosberg's team-mate Michael Schumacher felt unable to properly evaluate his car's outright potential as his practice day was disrupted by tyre issues.

"We had a bit of difficulty because we lost basically both sets of tyres," said the seven-time Formula 1 champion.

"One delaminated and one got a puncture, so we only got tyres that we ran this morning and that compromised our session."

Add Sauber's comment on tires for this weekend, and there is nothing much new to be said, that wasn't already numerous times on previous occassions. I am not sure why Whitmarsh makes statements about hoa Americans will like today's F1, because to me it implies, that he hasn't understood anything what's wrong with this sport these days.

In that situation , Michael was only 0,35 sec behind Nico(sector best times). Not bad I think. Also there was traffic everywhere.

But what do you expect Whitmarsh to say publicly about it??

What do you expect Mercedes to continue saying about their car despite all that's happened?

Schumi's gremlins continue to get out of hand. I'm not expecting much from this weekend. ATM, I'm just wishing his health well. I don't want to see him get hurt.

adding sector times, Schumi is almost 0,7s slower than Nico

He's gonna be trashed in a hour time from now :|

is he still using the newer spec? Why don't go back when you know it is slower. Let's Michael have the "bad" parts for his last two races.

They use the same configuration, coanda exhaust. No old spec.

Thanks! The track was improving a lot at the end in p3 and all driver did set new personal best times. I don't know I had the feeling Michael didn't get a clean run. 0.7 is way too much for him

That's for all that were criticizing Michael for the last quali.

That car is so sensible that it can very quickly go bad.

Very nice work in this quali from Michael. I really hope he is able to go out with some dignity.

No matter what happened to Nico 6th on merit with that Merc isn't bad qualifying. I hope Michael can have a strong race.

There's still some pace in the old dog yet, he isn't finished just yet...

Does anybody know?

Wow, I never expected this, 1.4 seconds?? Epic performance (as far as I can tell for now). He seemed pretty focussed and attacky today, going wild at several corners. That looked like a light car to handle, in sharp contrast to Rosberg whose onboard seemed really sluggish, heavy. What a difference.

well, no

Just join me in the joy of seeing Schumi kicking Rosberg's butt very hardly.

You can bring the excuse you want. Rosberg was running almost 20 min during Q1 in medium tires already(option) and had almost extra 15 min of running on medium in Q2. He did lots, I mean really LOTS, of laps and was NEVER quick. He was absolutely trashed today.

Rosberg was pushing like hell during all weekend and we saw him at P1 many times during FPs. Schumi kept quite and cool. Nico already did 1.37.2 in FP3, I assume this is the best he could extract from the car as he was rubbish in Q. Schumi did 1.36.7 on Q3 so that's more of Mercedes' true pace.

I can't think Mercedes had much more time, if any, than that of MSC's Q3 as he already outqualified both Ferraris and was very close to Lotuses

I think Schumi's S3, particularly, was fantastic for his car, only beaten there by Vettel, Webber, Hamilton and Massa.

Schumi once again showed his skill during the challenging and tricky corners T16 to T19

Probably some set up changes that completely ruined his ability to get the tires into temp. It started form Q1.

Or a mechanical problem.

Brundle, Lewis and lot's of other expert people saying dirty side is very very slippery, like soap. And this is expected as the tarmac is new so it's like "oily". On the racing line, where Schumi will start thanks to GrowJohn's penalty, is not that bad though. :D

Hopefully Schumi can get to P3 by T1

Well, not that he'll have race pace in that shitbox to fight for good points, though. Just some foolish expectating from a fan

PS: Stewards, leave Webber alone :p

edit: apparently, Webber will start last! Shit
