Search for Schumacher Ferrari on twitter and you'll get a lot of tweets about it too.

Bah i hope this is wrong. The worst possible outcome for me. Not driving in F1 on top of taking a job with Mercedes. I would rather him take a non driving role within Ferrari. At least he is respected enough there.

Somebody at Merc has to get off the sauce, because every time there is an inquisitive mind within ear-shot, mouth just bubbles with "the news".

I'm calling it: Schumacher joins Lotus Renault. This way, he can end his career where he enjoyed his first success and maybe he can have that last bit of success in the old Benetton team as well.
It wouldn't be completely impossible. The French guy could need a year or two somewhere down the grid to mature.

If Schumacher had continued with Mercedes, then he would have finished his career where he first started racing.
If Schumacher signs with Sauber, then he will have finished his career where he first started racing.
If Schumacher signs with Ferrari, then he will have finished his career where he enjoyed a legendary run.
If Schumacher signs with Lotus, then he will have finished his career where he first enjoyed his first success.

There are lots of fairy tales when it comes to Schumacher's career, none of which have any truth in it. Lots of talking and discussion for a tree that doesn't even begin to blossom. Terrific.

I would hope he retires or takes a break. The mercedes ambassador/F1 team role is just hogwash. Suppose that Merc car fails again next year and Schumacher were to be driving in another team with more success, its face palm moment for them. Merc are better placed if Schumacher is on their side on some form or other.

Now if somehow Grojean were to get another race ban

Prost is an ambassador for Reanult, for example. Such positions do exist, and it's actually nice if you can get one.

I am afraid you are not right on this one.

As per Forbes,

Michael Schumacher's personal Endorsements are worth $10 mil
Fernando Alonso's Personal Endorsements are worth $3 mil
Lewis Hamilton's Personal Endorsements are worth $3 mil
No mention of Vettel. I am not sure of his numbers either.

Clearly, you can see that Michael Schumacher's brand name is more when it comes to generating $$$.

Lewis Hamilton is restricted in the amount of personal endorsements he's allowed. One of the reasons why he's moving to Mercedes.

Yes, true. Let's see what he will make next year.

I don't know how people feel free to make stuff up about his reasoning for leaving being personal sponsoring. He's already one of the top paid in F1, made more then enough money for a lifetime and he knows it. Taking such a large risk of moving to a team Mercedes I doubt very very highly is about making a couple extra million in personal sponsorship. If the team continues to struggle, his personal brand equity will plummet and he knows it. Same as what happened to villeneuve. The extra few he'd make will be peanuts compared what he'll lose if it goes bad for him. From a risk vs. Reward analysis, it makes ZERO sense for him to do the change.

Its gotta be about being in a team that allows for freedom and taking on the challenge of building up a program vs. Just putting in laps in a well oiled and stuffling business machine.

Think positive. We'll get few extra free hours each weekend and will not longer have to worry about MGP going backwards as season evolves.
