Oh. That's the amateur series. That's not 'real' F2000.

This is the one that races with Indycar and stuff http://en.wikipedia....al_Championship

A Venezuelan journalist said a fews hours ago that La Rocca will make GP3 this year and he is preparing the tests of that series.

@Venezuelagp2

Saludos al gran piloto Kevin Giovesi por parte del equipo Venezuelagp. Nos encantatia que formaras parte de nuestra familia. Mucho exito.

So for all the talk of having a Venezuelan driver, it could be Kevin Giovesi.

Chris van der Drift is no longer managed by Bianchi, so is unlikely at Hilmer.

Out of the currently signed drivers I would say that Calado, Ericsson and Nasr are the clear title favourites with Leimer, Abt & Evans (and maybe Haryanto or Coletti) as outsiders. It seems like the World Series by Renault will again have a stronger field in terms of quality.

He's definitely looking, but Sauber aren't going to pay for him to do it, and it was a struggle for him to get a budget for FR3.5 last season.

Only one I would add is Ceccoto, he's kind of a brain case but he's fast so he has a chance

Well, according to fw2vimage Robins Frijns has an offer to drive for MP Motorsport in GP2 next season. Source

I bet he's pushing for an iSport seat. It's crazy sine he said the only reason he got in FR 3.5 was because of the money he got from his FR 2 Championship. It's crazy to think he's not getting sponsorship. I mean, you give him money for a year in Gp2 and there's a VERY good chance he gets a Sauber seat next season since Hulkenberg will probably leave to a major team.

It doesn't leave much space for decals, but it probably doesn't matter. And they couldn't really go back to the old scheme, as it would look dated.

And they're French - they probably think it looks amazing :p

Minus the yellow, a lot more black, the added white, etc.

It's as much an American or British flag as a German one.

Indeed, it's just a reimagining of their old red and white livery. I imagine that Daniel Abt's sponsors' logos (Sonax, DHL, PS3) will appear on the car.

Red white and black is the colour of the German flag 1871-1919, 1933-1945, but not since then. While the colours are still associated with Germany, I still think it's just ART's old colours which were red white and black.

No the stripe down the center. Black, dark color, lighter color. If you made that sort of flesh colored tone orange, you'd be right there.

But on the GP2 livery it's just random lines and colors.

Looks like someone started to paint a really dark red stripe in the middle and gradually ran out of paint.

Italia Racing are reporting that iSport aren't a certainty to make it to the grid next season. If that's the case, time could be running out for a replacement - Lazarus were only announced February 2012, giving them a month until the first race, and they were a somewhat experienced outfit.

Well, if they can get drivers with enough money, or a team partner, they'll be okay. Or there's no truth to the story. Or they're currently looking to sell their entry, like Ocean did.

Canamasas visits Caterham factory 3 days ago, like Varhaug, he not signs.
Mirocha very probably at Hilmer.
Giovesi is signed for all season with Venezuela Lazarus.
And Rossi is signed for Caterham since 3 weeks ago.

iSport haven't got debits, the problem is that they can't find drivers with money for all season

Nathanael Berthon and Robin Frijns are going to test for Trident at Jerez:

As for Frijns, man, its a little disappointing that he'd have to take a ride in a backmarker team.

iSport are folding? Or at least out of GP2 into another series?

Whatever it is, wow. That is some very big and sad news. :( That was a very successful team launching up the likes of Timo Glock and Bruno Senna into Formula 1 (incidentally these 2 have both crashed out of Formula 1 at the same time).

As for Trident possibly fielding Berthon and Frijns that would be a very good lineup, I've looked it up the past 3 years they had Coletti, Richelmi, Zaugg as their better drivers, I don't rate any of them so certainly think in good driving hands they will be far better than their current status of backmarkers.

It's basically stupid that Frijns has to do GP2. He's already driven most(all?) the tracks, won in a car that's just as fast, and beaten drivers that aren't remarkably different in experience or ability from the GP2 field. So now he has to spend another 1.5-2m just for the privilege of keeping his name in people's heads, so that in 12 months he can get charged 6-10m if he wants to do F1.

I don't know what else he could/should do, but this is retarded.

Totally agree.

The worst of it is that its at Trident, no way in his first year of GP2 on Pirelli's for the first time in his career at that team is he going to impress, not with the expectation levels he has to live up to. I think whatever he does his reputation will slide a little by the end of the year.

There are interests for buying iSport cars and assets. Are there any details/rumours who is that?

And no joke about Stefan GP...
