Trident aren't bad. When they've had semi-decent drivers they've won races.

The source, I presume, is the same guy who predicted the DAMS line-up - although his page seems to be down at the moment (actually no it's not - http://forix.autospo...whowhere13.html)

Worth pointing out that he mentioned the Frijns and Trident link yesterday too.

He could still end up 3rd driver for Caterham's F1 Team.

Still, doesn't help he got humiliated by Felix da Costa last year.

Could you give me a source on the Mirocha-Hilmer rumour, thank you :) I'm a fan.

I talk with Franz Hilmer yesterday and he didn't wants to confirm me any driver :( So probably Mirocha isn't signed yet.

And if Ma is signed by Caterham... we have just a similar case like Alguersuari-Glock in DTM?

So perhaps we have this

DAMS: Marcus Ericsson – Stéphane Richelmi
Lotus: James Calado – Daniel Abt
Arden: Johnny Cecotto jr. – Mitch Evans
Racing Engineering: Fabio Leimer – Julián Leal
Carlin: Felipe Nasr – Jolyon Palmer
Caterham: Sergio Canamasas (?) – Ma Qing-Hua (?)
Addax: Jake Rosenzweig – Rio Haryanto
Rapax: Stefano Coletti – Simon Trummer
Trident: Nathanaël Berthon (?) – Rodolfo Gonzalez (?)
Hilmer: Kevin Mirocha (?) – Pål Varhaug (?)
Lazarus: René Binder – Fabio Onidi (?)
MP: Daniël de Jong – Adrian Quaife-Hobbs

I wish I didn't have to ask this, but would Ma Qing Hua be better than Serenelli?

And I agree with Ross that it's pretty ridiculous having Frijns in GP2 this year. It shows just how much results (don't) matter in feeder series.

At least Frijns gets another chance to impress. He doesn't need to waste his career at DTM like Wickens for example. And maybe there's some more seats available for F1 2014.

I wonder what's going on at Caterham if that rumour proves to be true. Ma/Canamasas? Really?

I thought it was pretty brave of him on the whole. And I've never been a fan of Frijns attitude, though I've always admired his talent.

But Giedo Van Der Garde was also the 3rd driver for Caterham F1 Team.

Did Mitch Evans always have red bull sponsorship of some kind or is that completely new? His new helmet he is showing today is plastered in red bull.

It's completely new. It's not full backing from the Junior Team however, it's just 'personal sponsorship' as Mitch called it, which Daniel Abt also has.

That would be interesting, but I have to admit I'm sceptical. I don't know who WOULD take it over though.

Some aspects of it make sense: they have an existing link with iSport, and as they are a GP3 team, they'll be at most of the races anyway. But other than that, if iSport don't have the money, would Status? I doubt it.

Exactly. Status have a bit more money in the background but enough to buy a GP2 team and pay for the drivers? Because if they're banking on drivers bringing money, why couldn't iSport sign them?

DTM is not a waste of time, it's full of top drivers that get paid by big manufacturers instead of having to pay for a seat. For many drivers, DTM is a career goal, not a waste of a career. You shouldn't see F1 as the only important class in autosport, it's the Pinnacle but not the only interesting class.

I didn't say waste of time or career, i said waste of his talent. He should've been given a chance in F1, he was good enough to beat Vergne in the same team after all (though by running into him in the final race, i have to admit). Instead it looks like DTM could be his career highlight and that would be a shame.

I haven't heard anything about Rossi in awhile, maybe the team is looking for drivers that are full of sponsorship money,it would be a shame if he's not driving in Gp2 this year,I think he could compete for the title.

If you want a straightforward summary of who is where, it takes longer to read through that list than it does to read one that has simply the confirmed drivers in it, which is what I'm using this thread to keep on top of.

So you want everybody to tailor their posts for your optimum convenience?

Its really not hard man.

Its a silly season thread, not a 'only confirmed drivers are allowed in lists' thread. Speculation is part of the game.

And you DO have the list of confirmed drivers right there. See all those drivers without a '?' next to them? Those are the confirmed ones.

This thread was not made entirely for your convenience. Geesus.

We have plenty of speculation though, and it's fine. But if you're going to create a table of drivers and teams, don't put people who don't have rides.

No, I'm saying if you're going to be helpful and give us a list of where people are only include people who are there.

When Autosport confirms an F3 or GP3 driver, they print the current lineup with blanks or TBA where they aren't drivers. They don't just put people in.
