Got the day off work tomorrow (coincidental) so realised I can stay up to watch FP1...
Going to watch some movies, then give FP1 a try...
After all I can sleep in tomorrow!

Gotta get some sleep in before, have to go to school tomorrow ;)
Seems like it will be dry according to F1.com! So we hopefully get some proper running
Does this forum have a live chat for FPs, Qualys and Race?

Everyone tends to do that through the medium of the message boards - there is a live text commentary as well, but I guess if you are watching you won't need that!

Hoping no typhoon activity over the weekend, and a dominant McLaren outing WIth Vettel and Alonso taking eachother out....hahaha

eh?
a certain announcement today cheesed me off somewhat. (is a polite way of putting it that wouldn't get me in trouble with the mods)

I think he's still racing through the end of the season. Might as well watch him while you can!

that's not the way a proper F1 fan would refer to it
FP1 is at night here and FP2 will be obviously lat but I'll still watch it.
Longtimefan, think like this: this is the last time we get to see Schumacher driving a F1 car in Suzuka, so let's watch every second of it ;)

Many team bringing new parts so I guess we should expect a rather boring FP1...
boring? you mean slow and mixed?

I mean a lot cruising laps and short stints.

Williams: Only Maldonado is testing the new exhaust. So I expect Senna to do a lot of laps.
edit: and also Lotus apparently (thanks JamesHunt) will "split" the evaluation of new parts.

Luckily F1 rarely overlaps with football. Except for the Austin race.Only 9PM here, so its almost ideal other than the fact that I'm missing football, but its just Cardinals/Rams anyway. Wont be staying up for FP2, but it'll be ready to watch tomorrow on the DVR.

Early stages I know but the Maclaren looks on rails

Fastest time in FP1 by anyone last year was a 1:33.6. Already pretty close to that.Karthikeyan already 2.3 seconds up on his fp1 time last year
Mclaren's running a really barn door rear wing.

Hamilton saying the RB is a slightly better car??
Surely not
because if he doesn't win, he can blame it on the car

how is it that Alonso has a purple 33.7 1st sector in live timing on his installation laps
Good spot, he must have cut some corner or he's been sandbagging on all his other laps

Maybe Hulkenberg impresses them instead. Only half a second off the best time currently, which was set in similar track conditions. That'll impress Ferrari - not
