I reckon Kobayashi is going to make the podium this race. The Sauber is an odd car, either it's right at the front or its in the middle of nowhere, barely making the points. The same can be said somewhat for Force India, Williams too. The midfield cars have been strange this season.

Sauber seem to have the third fastest car here and McLaren due to penalties and other errors aren't near the front, they should be able to comfortably make the podium. I think for Alonso his main focus should be on beating Grosjean and maybe Perez.

I reckon Sauber are going to take Mercedes for 5th in the WCC after this race. Or at least be very close.

I'm not really looking forward to this race though, Suzuka has never really made for interesting races. Unless it rains, and apart from the odd year like 2010 where Kamui went crazy. I'll probably sleep through it, read what happened when I wake up and then maybe catch the highlights on BBC...

Lewis to win, you read it here first.

Goodnight folks, see you at the red lights.

I would love to see that prediction come true. A storming drive from Hamilton beating Vettel on the last lap. I can only dream for that. It is unlikely to happen.

Red Bull 1st-2nd with Alonso taking 3rd.

would love for this to happen but sadly I think the Red Bull's/Vettel will walk home with it, I expect a pretty dull race tbh

I agree Vettel is going to win easily but if Ferrari's race pace is good enough we could see an entertaining battle for positions 3 to 8.

My first hope for this race: Grosjean doesn't screw other people's race on start and Kamui at least keep 3rd

Then, I hope Kimi, Alonso, Button and Lewis provides us with great battles (yeah, I know. Not gonna happen)

I'm not so sure it will be dull,a lot of non- winners with a Podium chance,Kobayashi in particular will be over performing,i just hope he doesn't take anyone out in the early laps, esp. Mark.

I don't hold out much hope for this being an interesting race. It hinges on Kobi getting a great start and Button being able to fight through the field.

Tyres gonna get very funky is my prediction, the RBR will destroy its tyres and we will get a surprise result from either a new or a winner far back on the grid.

Seb is going to run and hide I fear, unless someone jumps him at the start - and even then it could just be interesting until Vettel jumps at the stops. Koba/Grosjean will be a hold your breath moment at the start though and likely one at least will be ahead of Webber by the end of the first lap. Even if the Bulls have a bit of tyre trouble Seb should be far enough ahead to nurse them while Webber will be the one that suffers...

vettels long run pace was a lot better than webber.

There's not going to be a battle for the lead I'm afraid to say! Kobayashi will be the interesting one to watch for me/

Barring a mechanical failure, a first lap crash or something down right bizarre happening this race surely will be won by Vettel.

If the current trend continues, a DNF for Alonso will put the title on a plate for Vettel, it's far from interesting.

It's rained quite long and quite alot at Suzuka since last evening throughout night, I wonder how that will affect the race. At least the track must be dustier.

There was a dude in another thread who implied that they were seeding the clouds in that area ... is this something that you can comment on?

Brundle was just saying on Sky that turns out RB may have been running a DDRS that they have kept very quiet!

The gap from 2nd-3rd is 16pts then 7pts to 4th and 10 pts to 5th so it wouldnt be handing the title on a plate to Vettel unless the speed Red Bull have shown this weekend continues of course, and if Red Bull do dominate the last 6 races then they will really deserve the title anyway.
I would like a DNF for Alonso because I dont really care for him or Ferrari so I would opt for a A.B.A. (Anyone but Alonso)

Well if true that is an awesome effort to keep it on the quiet without anyone getting wind until now...

I can't understand how the Star Sports presenter Paula can be anchoring the show for so long, more than 10 years or so. She is just very average to say the least. Surely there would be better anchors?

Webber said to Brundle that it was something on the track he drove over and not a piece from the car.
