Hey guys, anything exciting happen in the race so far? just getting home.

PSP whining.

Watching Kes on RaceBuddy is really, really fun. He was dominating but had something stick in his grill and he was overheating. They were barely able to remove some tape but had a slow pit stop so he lost about 5 positions on pit road. Riding along, listening and Watching him race back up through the field against some stout competition is great stuff.

I think they are all 10-11 laps short on fuel.

It's too late to reap the benefit of getting right sides.

The winner will be the car that's fastest over the last 16 laps including the trip down pit road.

Oh damn Logano's team just lost him the race. two few laps left for the right sides to make up that 3.5 extra seconds he had to sit still.

Kes never came to a complete stop and his crew chief kept saying WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT and Kes left anyway.

Danica -1 lap by 200 yds. If I'd had money on my bet I'd be pissed.

Solid race, but there goes any hope for Hornish in the championship. Pity. Sadler all the way now please.

Man Keselowski is really maturing! Giving the party line, explaining calmly. I think I'm very tsundere for him.

Someone get Jeffrey in a Cup car. Doesnt even matter if its a start'n'park. Keep the streak alive!

33 years is gonna be hard to beat.

Speaking of Jeffrey, I'm kinda surprised that he hasn't an opportunity at a better ride, if only because he has the Earnhardt name. I guess Dale and Kerry isn't all that close?

She finished ahead of Cole Whitt (who has the same amount of experience in Nascar before anyone whines about the comparison) and only just missed the top 10, not that anyone cares about that of course...always a reason to crap on her.

Nationwide driver standings following Charlotte Motor Speedway:

1) #2-Elliott Sadler 1096
2) #6-Ricky Stenhouse Jr. 1083 -13
3) #3-Austin Dillon # 1067 -29
---------------------------------
4) #12-Sam Hornish Jr. 1003 -93
5) #43-Michael Annett 950 -146 +1
6) #31-Justin Allgaier 936 -160 -1
7) #88-Cole Whitt # 874 -222
8) #19-Mike Bliss 789 -307
9) #11-Brian Scott 740 -356
10) #7-Danica Patrick 708 -388 +1

Gotta say that's it for Hornish. Annett jumps Allgaier, Danica back in the top 10.

Could someone please give me a time till the race starts (start engines etc), i've just read through the thread and thought it was odd the NNS racing already, and checked and noticed NSC is today.

hmm, Jayski says 6hr 10min from now, is that 'start your engines' time or expected green flag?
If thats correct, then thats a pretty good nights racing for me, NASCAR, break to watch some tv, MotoGP and then F1 before bed :D

I believe the Jayski countdown is to the green flag, although someone correct me if I am wrong.

Yup should be a fun night to watch racing

Didn't Stan the Younger also do a few IRL starts or try to?

Quick search says 2009 with 'Team 3G' while also doing some NASCAR. St Pete, Long Beach, Kansas, Indy DNQ, and Motegi. I even put photos of him in the Autosport gallery. So he existed!

Hey Gang..

Funny moment last night for me, filling in for a friend, here on the Gossip tour.
We are in LA, playing the Fonda theatre. Showtime was 10pm just as Korean qualifying started.
So I was missing all of it as we have no DVR on the bus. I left the TV on SPEED channel after F1 Debrief and walked out to FOH at 9:55.
Beth Ditto, the amazing lead singer, was doing a quick costume change on the bus about half way through the show.
When she came back on stage she started singing "Tie me Kangaroo Down Sport" and then shouted..
"There ya go Jp..now you can get on with your life tonight".

Hoping for a good scrap, do like the night races, so fingers crossed the #11 can close the gap on Jimmy, at least make it a 3 way fight if not more (as long as Denny is in there)

Checking in. There are several posts on this page today that don't make sense.

JPM had a very long pit stop that first caution. Had climbed to 32nd and then dropped back to 41st.

Then the restart kerfluffle happened and he's back up to 32nd again by getting through there quite well.

He has a history with concussions. The one in the Corvette where he was knocked out and on fire comes to mind. If quality of life matters to him he has to do what he can to preserve it. Also being a serious NFL friend and fan he'd know about studies going on there among people he actually knows.
The recent impacts are not necessarily the worst that he has taken. IMHO he has woken up to the risks that he is taking may not be considering enough factors.

I figured there were several people just staying up. This race will probably end about 2 or so hours before the Korean GP, right?

Also is there a MotoGP race that would fit in there somewhere?

Correction: MotoGP starts an hour before F1 (Qualy of both last night being at the same time threw me) - thank heavens for dual monitors.

Oh and GO JJ!
